"We had such a fantastic stay this weekend, perfect location.
The hosts are simply wonderful, lovely little pub, great atmosphere and the meals are sooo good, including breakfast which were insanely good!
We'll definitely be back and will recommend The George for our friends and family to stay! "

"As described it’s a little old around the edges with some mould around the door frame in our bedroom. Having said that I’d definitely stay again. Very welcoming, comfortable, had our own door into the garden for our dog which was an absolute bonus and to top it all the food was delicious. Really pleased I found it.

"Stayed before still very good although I think it has changed ownership. Only disappointment, there was no fruit or yogurt at breakfast although the cooked breakfast was excellent (plenty of choice)"

"What a great find. The perfect stop off on our way to the Highlands. The room (room 5) was incredibly spacious and clean. The service was friendly and genuine and the food was well cooked and great value. The breakfast in particular was clearly cooked to order and piping hot. Definitely recommend this place. "

"The pub is situated in peaceful countryside and is in a great location.
The proprietors were so welcoming and kind, helping me to my room with my luggage. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated and the bathroom clean with nice toiletries.
The food in the pub was good, and the service was friendly and efficient.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would certainly stay there again if I’m in the area."

"A very nice hotel , good rooms and superb food and wines.
Dover Sole for dinner was magnificent. Wines chosen from their adjacent wine shop ( corkage £10 per bottle ) were exceptional and good prices for Bin ends.
Staff were very helpful , polite and very efficient."

I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. "

Bit of a time warp, bit tired, but if they fixed it they would ruin it.
It something out of a TV series, staff are great. its not a luxury setup, but defiantly an experience well worth having and in a lovely setting. will be back"

The only drawback is that it’s too far to walk to town but there are plenty of taxis approx £6..
Unfortunately their restaurant wasn’t open as it was a week day but their recommendation of Bangkok 7 Thai restaurant was spot on and a “Must go” place to eat- it was superb!"
