"The evening restaurant is high quality with superb service and very tasty and well presented dishes.
But breakfast is basic, with below average service.
We stayed in the apartments and they were spacious and comfortable. Only addition would be a freezer section in the fridge as we had to ask for ice - but the staff were always on hand to give us ice.
Overall an excellent location with dining if you like to get back ‘home’ to eat and have a drink.
If you like horses, then it was lovely to watch...

"This small Inn was located in a lovely setting with a great view of the Westman Islands. The staff were so gracious and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic - especially the mussels and the bread! The spa with hot tub and sauna were terrific. A great experience for the equestrians with trail rides available! "My wife and I had an excellent one night stay at Skalakot Manor Hotel as part of our 12 day tour of Iceland. The hotel was great, our room was really nice and the spa was fantastic! Staff and breakfast were great too. We did a one hour horse riding tour on the morning we check out which was delightful - would highly recommend it! Daria was our guide and she was great! "

"We stayed at 6 different places during our Iceland trip, and this was our favorite! The room was clean and spacious. Nice blackout curtains. The kitchen was small but functional. The "strange guy" chef offered delicious cakes for the guests, and there was also an option to dine in. We opted to bring our own food, but the dinner prepared at the guesthouse smelled so good! Breakfast was great too!

"We loved our stay in a glamping tent here. It was the perfect chill out between hiking the laugavegur and fimmvorduhals trails. The little sauna is great after hiking, the staff were so helpful and the trails in the area are fantastic. Walk the orange trail, the glacier views are amazing! "

"Meget beskidt. Fællesområderne var ekstremt snavsede. Badeværelserne var ikke blevet gjordt rent i meget lang tid. Virkelig ulækkert. Faciliteterne i køkkenet var fedtede og der var hverken opvaskemiddel eller rene viskestykker. Derudover lugtede der dårligt over det hele. Et sted man bare ville væk fra hurtigst muligt.
Sidst men ikke mindst, havde de ikke styr på deres kommunikation i form af indtjekning, så vi ventede i lang tid udenfor da de havde glemt at sende indtjekningskoden til os. Vi kan på ingen måde anbefale andre at komme hertil."
