Kea, also known as Tzia, is one of the closest islands to Athens. There are 4 to 5 ferry boats going to and from the island in the summer months. As there are few hotels on the island, mostly private homes are rented out. Most of these houses are built from local stone, giving Kea its unique architectural style.
