But the resort is isolated, and the resort seems to discourage guests from leaving. The "concierge" seemed completely unprepared to help. She could not recommend any restaurants in town, or recommend any tours. She could not help with public transportation or private car service. Our best help came from taxi drivers.

The pool had problems with the paint that was pilling off and the surrounding tiles were slippery. The stuff was very polite and helpful. The lack of parking space is a thing that should be solved."

"My wife and I stayed at Tylissos for a week. Great location by the beach with very hospitable staff. Rooms were clean although found bathroom a bit small. Good breakfast everyday. Daily activities including beach volleyball, aqua gym and yoga as well as evening entertainment. Its slightly out of the way taking around 30mins to the main tourist centre where the shops and restaurants are. On a few occasins we took the taxi - 5 euros.
Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing time. Would definitely...

"Vi var på familietur med tre generationer, så alderen var fra 3 år til 70 år - alle fuldt ud tilfredse med opholdet. Super godt og afvekslende mad i all inkl. pakken til de tre hovedmåltider - rigelig med drikkevarer til alle aldre hele dagen.
Rigtig fine og rene pool områder, både den store og børnepoolen.
Vi boede i bungalows i stueplan, temmelig gamle og slidte, men vigtigst af alt rene - meget små hvis man skal have børn på værelserne - men vi skulle jo på den anden side kun sove der, så...

La chambre (201) donne une magnifique vue sur la mer et l'île juste en face, avec une belle terrasse, bien orientée pour en profiter dès l'après-midi.
Les équipements sont un peu vieillots mais fonctionnels. La clim meriterait une petite réparation car 2 volets sur les trois sont cassés et il est difficile dorienter le debit d'air....

They promoted a "movie night", but would not tell us what the movie would be until that day! Most of the guests appear to be older couples and their adult children, who just plan to lay on the beach and eat.
The "gym" facility was a joke. A small room totally out of scale to the resort.
The slate floor in our room was filthy. Every time we walked on it in bare feet, our feet became black.
The private beach area attracts plastic waste. The sand was covered in plastic trash and plastic was floating in the water. This is a general problem in the Meditteranean today.
Meals were very expensive. The lunch buffet was 41 euro per person. In addition, I arrived to lunch wearing a t-shirt and swimsuit, and was asked to go back to my room and change into shorts. They had no problem with the young woman wearing a thong and mesh cover up.
I expect more for what we paid, at what was presented as a luxury resort."
"The location and facilities are fantastic. The view and sunset is breathtaking, the pools and sunbeds are nice and not overly crowded and the beautiful flowers and trees all over.
We stayed the first week in a 2BR villa with 3 adults and two children. It was nice and spacious with lots of privacy as the rooms were in opposite ends of the villa. We had the most lovely cleaning lady Mirela who met us with the biggest smile every day. The next week we stayed in an Island suite with a jacuzzi and sea view. Also a very nice room.
The service on the hotel overall is not 5 stars which is such a pity. The reception is strict and not accommodating, and the hotel is clearly understaffed in the buffet, beach bar etc. constantly running out of stuff (ice creme, drinks etc), and the ala cart often also is out of stuff. I also dislike that there are no cocktails included in the AI (pina colada, mojito) - paying customers get nice glasses and AI get plastic cups all day. I really wish the hotel would staff up and stop all the unnecessary restrictions. The staff is clearly under too much pressure, which makes the guests unhappy and so it continues. The main buffet also needs more food and stuff, if you are not there when they open half of the stuff will be out (meats, desserts etc). A few people standout though: George and Minela in the Pool bar, Nick in the Payot, Jaruz in breakfast coffee, Abdul in the pancake stand, and Dora in the reception. "
