I'd love to give this place a bad review because then we can book it any time without worrying about it already being booked, but I just can't. This place was PERFECT for our family. The A/C in the bedrooms was lovely. The private pool was fantastic. The living space was great. The view was magical. The beds were super comfortable. We will definitely be back! Thank you for an awesome place to stay!

Perfect Getaway

House was very clean, well appointed, and view was even better than pictured. Beds were comfy, showers good, and kitchen well stocked, and the view was amazing. As much as we enjoyed the daytime view, the stars at night might have been our favorite part. Sat outside with our teenage kids every night counting shooting stars - amazing!!

Beautiful home with amazing views

Beautiful home with amazing view of the ocean. We sit by the pool and watch for whales and dolphins that come through regularly during our stay. So many places to visit within 10-20 minute drive. Beaches. Restaurants. Coffee shops. Art galleries. Grocery stores. Shopping.

Amazing Big Island Adventures

This place was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived and found our personalized gift basket through the last picturesque sunset. The house and management delivered on every aspect. The house had everything we needed during our stay, from beach gear to seasonings. We will definitely be staying again on our next visit to the island!

Does not disappoint!!

5 stars is not enough! We walked into a clean and beautiful home to the sweet sounds of Hawaiian music. And then we saw the view!!! We watched whales for days from the lanai. We enjoyed finding a variety of dining experiences in Kawaihae. Don’t skip the art gallery located in the lower level of the marketplace. Waimea was perfect for grocery shopping. We went to a farmers market there on Saturday morning and it did not disappoint! Fresh caught fish, yummy bacon, garden fresh fruits and vegetables alongside beautiful artists and crafters. We will definitely check the availability of this home first when we plan our next visit to the Big Island!

Home away from home

New Air conditioner has been installed every 4 bedrooms

We stayed September last year also, ocean views and sunset, watching stars, everything perfect!! Installed brand new air conditioner, we turned on only a few hours while no breezes.

Great house, gorgeous location

We had a small group of friends in town for a wedding and had such a lovely time at this rental. It was immaculately clean when we arrived and everything was just as listed. The gorgeous pool overlooking the ocean is absolutely the best part of the rental - and we enjoyed it every single day of our stay! The area is lovely and quiet but conveniently located to everything you’d need. It seems that recently the house was updated recent to include mini split air conditioning in each of the bedrooms - and this absolutely essential (and appreciated!) during our August visit! Once turned on, the bedrooms cooled down immediately. Our group commented daily on how great a find this rental was and how lucky we were to be staying there. Would recommend this property 100%

It was a first time Hawaii big Island in last 2 years due to COVID 19. We were really enjoying Kohala coast life, 270 degrees coast and mountain view 180 degrees ocean view and sunset and 90 degrees mountain view, star watching also. Of cause this house and rooms are perfect! for our family. We can’t wait to come back again!!

Loved it!

Lovely the property which is in an amazing location. Everything was perfect except for one thing. We were here in July with 85-90 degree days and 70-75 degree nights and the house got really hot during the day! Therefore, we really missed air conditioning…so much so that we wondered why a property perfect in every other way, wouldn’t have at least window or split-level air conditioning! Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to be back in cooler weather. Thank you to Mary and Natalie for all their help and really prompt responsiveness.

Beautiful and amazing views

The house was beautiful, well stocked, and definitely big enough for the 6 of us. The property manager was very easy to contact and the check in / check out process was very easy as well. While the property is off the beaten path, it is private and has amazing views! And the pool was a big hit with the kids, and watching them while enjoying the ocean front view was very enjoyable by the parents. We would definitely recommend this place!

Great Whale Watching

We have stayed at a number of homes here in Kohala Estates, but this home had the best views of the water, since it sits lower than any other home. The daily sights of whales breaching can't be beat! We could even hear their tails slapping the water!

Incredible Property!

To celebrate a milestone birthday, my husband and I rented this property with a small group of friends over the 2021 holidays and we could not have been more pleased with the property and our experience with Mary and her team. The stunning views from the home's large lanai and pool area were reason enough to love this rental, but the spacious and comfortable interior are not to be missed. Even with a larger group, everyone had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy everything the home had to offer. The kitchen was quite well-stocked for making a longer stay easier to manage, which was definitely appreciated by our group. Mary and her team were quick to be responsive to any communications, and they were always extremely kind and helpful. Knowing that we could reach out at any time and get a response made the stress of executing an important group trip over a busy time much more manageable. Absolutely top-notch service! I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, spacious, and gorgeous getaway for a small group.

We found the house very comfortable for the six of us. It does get quite warm in the afternoon so our only suggestion would be to perhaps install some type of air conditioning. The outside was wonderful especially the pool and the view of the ocean which we spent many hours looking at in the early mornings to late evening.

Outstanding view

The view is my favorite part and of course the kids loved the pool. I found the management to be outstanding and attentive. A few very minor problems were taken care of in a timely manner. The house had everything that we needed. A good ohana time was experienced by all.

fantastic views, private setting

Lovely one level home with endless ocean views, never miss a sunset! Well laid-out home with en-suite bedrooms on opposite ends of house for maximum privacy. 2 additional bedrooms also on opposing ends share a hall bathroom closer to one bedroom than the other. Although landscape is mostly gravel and not very much greenery, the pool makes this home tolerable in the heat and a nice focal point at night with the colored pool lighting. Kitchen lacks basic baking equipment but suffice for stovetop needs such as pots, pans & utensils. It is very private on end of cul-de-sac. A car is necessary, as getting to and from the nearest desirable beach or grocery shopping is 15 mins away. Overall, this is a comfortable and clean home with unbeatable views. Also, the management company is very professional and responsive.

Fantastic home

We loved our stay here! The house is very versatile and we couldn't get over the view! We were able to see several humpback whales from the pool- one even did a full breach! This house is well stocked, we loved the pool floats, the binoculars, and use of coolers! Mahalo for a wonderful stay! We'll be sure to recommend it to everyone we know!

Peaceful fun and quiet

We had a fantastic week! Couldn’t have asked for a better spot on the island of Hawaii. The property was 100% as advertised. The pool was better than expected (bigger) and warmer. Management was fantastic, they even checked us in a little early since our flight arrived just after the noon hour. Nice nice nice.
