    From the first cup of coffee, this oceanfront Mahina Surf condo keeps the Pacific in the picture. Open the living room doors to the furnished balcony, watch the water before heading out, then come back to a place where every room has an ocean view. Two bedrooms, two baths, and three beds sleep up to six, giving a family room to settle in rather than live out of beach bags. The full kitchen handles breakfast and an easy dinner, while the shared pool and grills make staying close to home a real option. Kahekili Beach Park, Black Rock Beach, and Kapalua Beach are all within four miles when you want a different stretch of sand. This is for families or friends who want Maui mornings and evenings to happen beside the water.



    The Space:

    At 747 square feet, the two-bedroom layout gives the group room to reset between beach time. Sliding doors connect the living room to the furnished balcony, and the ocean view follows you through the condo. The full kitchen, TV, fast WiFi, and in-unit laundry make the practical parts of a family stay feel handled.



    Guest Access:

    Guests at Mahina Surf enjoy access to the oceanfront communal pool set along Maui's coastline, with garden grounds and a disabled parking spot for easy access. The beachfront location puts the water just outside your lanai, and grab rails support accessibility. A nearby laundromat adds convenience for longer stays at this 42 unit complex.



    The Neighborhood:

    Mahina Surf sits along West Maui's shoreline, where the plan can be as simple as a look at the water before breakfast. Kahekili Beach Park offers a broad sandy option nearby, Black Rock Beach adds snorkeling and the activity around Ka'anapali, and Kapalua Beach is a scenic choice for a quieter beach day. Back near the condo, the shared pool gives kids a second place to swim while dinner comes together. It works well for travelers who prefer to balance beach exploring with unhurried time close to the ocean.



    Getting Around:

    Kahului Airport is Maui's main airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring West Maui's beaches, dining, shops, and coastal sights. Plan on driving for most outings and allow extra time for traffic along the coast.

Wonderful Getaway

Can't beat it!

Great location, unbeatable views, and an absolutely great community. We spent every sunset in the pool and sat down by the beach with 4-16 sleeping turtles each night! The beach just down the street is a great, calm snorkel spot you can easily walk to. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful views, great location

I loved this location! Right next to great snorkeling and a walkable beach. Perfect for our family of 5. Only downside was shower ran out of hot water after the 1st or second person, so space showers accordingly.

A perfect stay

This condo is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The view is breathtaking. The Vacasa staff on site are were very pleasant and hospitable. The overall facility is very well maintained. The location is beautifully unique and unforgettable. We hope to stay here again.

The Mahina Surf never disappoints

We stay at the Mahina Surf every 2-3 yrs. 201 is our preferred unit. The views are stunning. We very much value the privacy as well. Sad to head home!

Honu Heaven

We have stayed at Mahina Surf going on 20 years now. This condo is by far our favorite. It is right next to the ocean with an incredible view. We could see green sea turtles swimming right outside our window. The condo is in need of some updating, but overall we were very pleased with our most recent stay.

The views are unreal.

Hands down the best views of any place I have stayed. You are at the beachside with this condo. Sitting in the living room you see nothing but water out your windows. The whole unit has been beautifully updated. I will definitely be coming back.

On the water!

Absolutely amazing stay! This is going to be our condo when we return to for years to come. Going to sleep and awakening to the sounds of crashing waves was magical. You can leave the windows open for the refreshing tradewinds in which keeps the condo cool. The grounds of the Mahina Surf are tropical and beautiful with the building being a classic mid-century Hawaiian feel. We can't wait to return! Thank you Vacasa for a wonderful stay. Aloha!!

Amazing place but with cockroaches all over the kitchen

The kitchen and bathroom have small and medium size cockroaches everywhere from dishes and on the coffee maker and cabinets. The place is amazing itself if you do not mind drinking your coffee in a cup that you know some cockroaches walked inside it or washing everything you use and being very careful with your stuff.

Summer Breezes

We loved being right on the water with three walls of windows to open to the tropical breezes. Sleeping with the sounds of the ocean and the air blowing through the condo was perfect. There were black-out curtains we could close against the hottest sun. We could keep the apartment cool throughout the day -- WITHOUT air-conditioning! The unit faces mostly west so the sunsets were awesome and the mornings cool for coffee on the lanai. We could see the turtle beach from the bedrooms!

View was amazing

Waking up every morning to the view of the ocean and trees was amazing. As was falling asleep every night to the sound of the waves crashing. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the unit was a little dated and lacked a few amenities. The kitchen was minimally stocked and did not have everything normally seen in a rental. The downstairs bed was not very comfortable at all. Overall the place itself can't be beat- but would be nice to have a few things updated in the unit.

Beautiful Views, Excellent Location, Lacking 5 star accomodations

The view cannot be beat. We love the location, the turtles, and the pool. I cannot give a full 5 for the following We had 5 guests and the sofa bed was not made up and ready. We were provided only 2 beach towels. There were no beach chairs provided (every other condo I have ever stayed in provided at least a couple.) The umbrella left was busted. Very little serving dishes... I would normally not "complain" about this but for the price paid I expected more of a 5 star hotel vibe.

Amazing property with incredible views

My family and I absolutely loved this property. When we initially found the property on Vacasa we thought the windows looked like they had fake photos or window coverings to make it look like it had a beautiful view. It just looked to good to be real! (We have had this happen in other properties before..) But no, the view really is that spectacular, from every window in the place. The kitchen is large and has everything you need, both bedrooms are a nice size and the beds are large and comfortable. The property was newly updated and is in excellent condition. Everything was perfect except for the heat. This is our 15+ trip to the Hawaiian islands and 5th to Maui and this was the hottest we have ever been. It is probably our fault for booking in July, but we have stayed at places without A/C before (tons of properties in Hawaii do not have A/C) and this was by far the hottest. The ceiling fans were loud and did not move much air, it was hard to get a nice breeze, and the other fans provided were pretty dirty. I say all of this not to say not to book this property, on the contrary, I would absolutely recommend this fantastic property. I would just strongly advise against going when it is super hot outside or advise you to bring along or purchase a few fans. We will potentially stay here again because the place is simply perfect and the views are breathtaking, we just cannot do it again in the summer.

Peaceful Maui Getaway

I knew I was going to love our stay at 201 Mahina Surf when I started walking down the path to our unit under a canopy of tropical trees, plants and flowers with tiny brown anoles skittering about. It felt like I was walking right into a tropical rainforest. Upon entering the room we were greeted with the cooling ocean breezes and sweeping views of the Pacific as well as the islands of Molokai and Lanai. There were million dollar views from both of the bedrooms, the living room and the lanai. All those windows mean a lot of afternoon sun, which heats the place up quite a bit. The unit will begin to cool when the sun sets. We knew the unit did not have air conditioning and we were prepared for that. We adventured in the morning and spent our afternoons staying cool at the pool until the sun set. There was an extra fan in the upstairs bedroom, which was helpful at bedtime. The grounds and pool were beautiful and very well maintained. The beach areas are very small but there are bigger beaches a short walk or drive in either direction. The unit has some basic beach and snorkeling gear available to use too. Mahina Surf 201 has had some updates but still has a vintage or old Hawaii vibe to it which is what we were looking for. We loved the small, secluded, peaceful and private feel. The sunsets at Mahina Surf were beautiful from the lanai, pool and small beach areas. We saw sea turtles swimming by every day and they came to rest on the little beach every afternoon. We made some wonderful Maui memories at 201 Mahina Surf and would definitely consider staying here again!
