  • Enjoy a private waterfront experience in the DownEast. Located in a quaint little fishing village, this Jonesport Oceanfront cottage offers direct access to a private beach on Moosabec Reach. Sit back and enjoy listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean, watching local fishermen as they haul their lobster traps, and enjoy the spectacular horizon sunrise and sunsets. Across the reach, you can visit Beals Island the homeland of National Folklore legend Tall Barney Beal. Stop by Beals Heritage Center to learn just how tall and strong he was. Also the Nature's Conservancy has a 5 mile hike located through the woods, at the end of Great Wass Island. Travel an hour east where you can visit West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec America. Watch the lobstermen boating to work each morning while sipping coffee from your deck. Day trips to Acadia Nat’l Park, Bar Harbor, Lubec (the most eastern point in the US), and FDR’s Campabello Island are just a short drive away. Bring a furry friend as the cottage is also a dogs’ paradise.

Fantastic location, right on the beach, very quiet. The house configuration was good. One bedroom and bath on first floor and two bedrooms and a shared bathroom on the second floor. Loved watching the lobster boats coming and going out to sea.

We just spent two weeks at this beautiful property with an amazing view. The beds were very warm and comfortable. The accommodations were as noted and perfect! Supplied us with enough toilet paper and paper towels, and trash bags and laundry detergent and dishwashing pods linens were of excellent quality heated floor in the downstairs bathroom was a nice surprise. This was our second time staying at this property book it, and you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic stay. Beautiful location. Just as pictures show on vrbo. Suggest bringing some outdoor games. Saw a few wild rabbits and deer. 4Corners Shop N Save isn't too far and is super stocked with anything you need. Pizza place down the road was good but it's really busy so would call ahead. Rainy day road trip to Monica's Chocolates in Lubec is a must! Go to the lighthouse too, even if it's rainy it's still nice to see.

Amazing Views

Amazing location and views allowing for some rest and relaxation in the quiet coastal town of Jonesport. We loved sitting on the porch watching the lobster boats pass by and exploring for treasures along the beach. Great spot - we hope to be back.

Excellent cottage for families. The location was perfect and was very quiet. We had awesome views of sunrises and sunsets. Everything we needed to make our stay memorable was at hand. The beach was easily accessible. We found a lot of treasures.

We just got back from a fabulous week at this rental. The house was just what we were looking for. It was exactly as advertised; beautifully situated on the water, clean and comfortable. They had stocked more than I have seen a previous rentals. Plenty of towels, blankets, and kitchen supplies. Even though it was a little chilly for our weeks stay we still thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck reading and watching the lobster boats go by. Also managed to complete a couple of their puzzles. I would stay here again in a minute.

Perfect Fall beach destination

Loved everything. Comfy beds, great kitchen, plenty of seating for family. Location was perfect as well. Wrap around deck had the best views of the ocean. It was exactly what we hoped for

Getaway with our dogs.

This cottage is great, beautiful inside and out. The views are amazing. It's very obvious the owner is a dog lover, that made it even better. We had everything we needed right there, we really had a nice time.

Very private and quiet home right on the beach a

A dream vacation that allowed 3 generations of women to check off multiple experiences in just a few days! Highly recommend this beautiful property to those who want to see the quieter side of Maine and meet the locals in their daily lives! Thank you for an unforgettable trip!

Perfect Downeast Cottage

The cottage by the seas is amazing. Amazing location and proximity to the beach. House was very clean and well equipped with almost everything to make our stay perfect. Only two recommendations for future enhancements, the house is advertised for 6 people but dining area only seats four and, it would be awesome to have an outside dining area.

The house is light and bright with gorgeous water views. The town has few amenities, but this is the place to come if you want to get away from it all.

Fantastic Week on the Ocean

Best family vacation we have had. House was stunning with views of the ocean and islands throughout the main living room. Wrap around porch gave all the views you could ever want. Seals, loons and lobster boats a plenty. Could not have asked for a better place to stay on this wonderful family vacation.

As soon as you walk through the door, every ounce of stress disappears. From the ocean view out every window to the lobster boats coming in and out of the bay, there couldn't be a more ideal location. House is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
