This charming vacation home in Kulhuse is situated on a large, private natural lot just a few minutes’ walk from the shallow sandy beach on the Isefjord. Here, life is simple—morning coffee on the porch, a walk to the water, long afternoons in the garden, and evenings on the terrace or around the campfire. In winter, the cozy atmosphere moves indoors after a walk, with a fire in the wood-burning stove spreading warmth and that authentic vacation home feeling.



The large windows in the living room draw the garden and the light right into the house, and the large bay window is one of the coziest spots in the house. Here you can sit with a book or a cup of coffee and look out at the trees, the birds, and the squirrels that often stop by. From the kitchen, you can enjoy the morning sun and have direct access to the small porch.



The garden is a large, wild, and completely private fairy-tale garden with old trees, fruit trees, grapevines, and berry bushes. Small paths wind through the property, and at the back, nestled among the trees and tall blackberry bushes, is the fire pit. There are two terraces, lounge chairs, and patio furniture, and for the kids, there’s a large trampoline, a slackline, and workout rings in the trees.



Just a few minutes’ walk from the house is Hjortestranden, a quiet, child-friendly sandy beach with shallow water. At low tide, you can walk through the water out to the small island of Alholm. SUPs, kayaks, and snorkeling gear are available for free use, and there are also bicycles for both children and adults, making it easy to go on short rides in the area.



Kulhuse Harbor and Nordskoven are nearby. From the harbor, you can take the small ferry Columbus across the fjord to Lynæs and visit the Lynæs Surf Center and Hundested. In the area, you’ll also find Jægerspris Castle and Hansen Is.



It’s a vacation home with character, plenty of outdoor living, nature, and space all around—close to the water and far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
