Nice affordable home place
We found the home in clean condition and with comfortable furniture and beds. As mentioned in other reviews it sits on a busy highway and 2 of the bedrooms have street lights that shine in a bit. Location is convenient and overall it was a nice affordable stay

Perfect spot for Wedding Weekend

Close to the beach and resturants
Convenient to the beach, stores, and restaurants. The house is located on the street and is a bit noisy, so if you are a light sleeper this place may not work for you. It was clean and the kitchen had the essentials for cooking.

Good college spring break place
The location was good because it was close to the beach but it is on a busy road so it is noisy when trying to sleep. The listing says it sleeps up to 8 but with one bathroom I would only have 6 max. Several things need to be improved upon. As an earlier review mentioned the blinds need repaired. Several are broken and light shines in from traffic on road making it difficult to sleep. The door has a huge gap which needs addressed by replacing the door or adding weather stripping. It was very humid even with the air on because of the gap and it was cold a couple mornings when the temp dropped outside. The air vents were rusty and either dirty or had mold on them. Those need to be replaced and vents checked for mold. My kids woke up stuffy every day. It was pretty clean when we got there but the sheet on the pull out was dirty and the replacement sheet we found had a hole in it. Not a huge deal but the dirty sheet made us wonder if the other sheets had been changed. Again, as others mentioned in previous reviews… several light bulbs were burnt out and needed changed. The porch light was useless and could cause injury if someone tripped in the dark. Also, there was watery soap in the bathroom. Someone added water to stretch it and I’m wondering if that was past renters. There were partially used items in cabinets that I would dispose of if it was my property. My final thought is to put some info in the home giving out the wifi password etc….

Family visit
My mother and I stayed here for a week so we could visit my daughter who is in grad school at Musc. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The location was convenient with the proximity to both Charleston and folly beach, but it does face the busy Folly Road and the street noise is loud if you are sitting in the cute little outdoor area. The kitchen had all the basic necessities for simple cooking. I would have liked to have an information binder with the WiFi code and tv instructions, but did get a quick response when I texted for the wifi code. We would definitely stay again.

Would stay here again (with small group)
I would definitely stay here again with a small group (only one bathroom). While it was advertised as 'no frills' a few minor adjustments could make the stay much better! - add a small coffee pot versus the Keurig as sometimes folks like to make a pot of coffee - advertise there is no water or ice at all in fridge so they may want to bring their own water (a few cheap ice trays could simply be provided in freezer too) -the blinds in room near carport could be enhanced/fixed so less light comes through -should be advertised as duplex with clear instructions over which side is theirs (A or B)

Close to beach and downtown!
The location is ideal if you want to spend time in downtown as well as at Folly Beach. It was about 12 minutes to either. The house is comfortable and clean but not fancy. The listing needs to be updated a bit—there is NO hot tub. There IS a full size fridge and oven/stove. The beds were not the most comfortable (and one squeaked pretty bad) but were sufficient for a few nights. We had to buy our own hand soap for the bathroom, and there were no oven mitts. The coffee maker was a Keurig but there were no pods provided so we had to buy a reusable one in order to use the coffee we brought. Small gap under the door which felt somewhat insecure. Overall a good place to stay; proximity to everything was just what we needed.

Great place, and location.
A great place to stay. Owner, is exceptional about quick response. Clean older home. For price you cant beat it. Location was perfect. Minutes from beach and our cruise port. Beds are nice. I would definitely recommend. Check in and out is a breeze. 3 bedrooms, dining/boardgame room, spacious open kitchen living room. Would definitely stay again and longer next time.

Folly Beach

Girl's Weekend
Had a handful of girls from a church group stay here for a Charleston weekend. Easy access to Folley Beach and Downtown. My only feedback is that if you can host up to 9 people, you may want to provide additional trash bags. There were also no instructions on check out for trash and dirty towels. But overall decent "crash pad".

Nice and clean home
We had a great stay. The home is decorated nicely. No dishwasher or laundry room. Beds are comfy! The home is close to tons of grocery stores, food and more. About a 10min drive to folly beach and super close to James Island County Park. Our little family enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to get back to Folly!

Great Stay
The location was central to Folly beach and Charleston allowing for many activity options. The unit was clean, organized, and comfortable. It is close to a busy road, but the traffic did not cause any noise disturbances.

Great Spot
This was accurately listed and close to everything.. Walmart literally 30 seconds away. Being only 2 miles from the beach was convenient. My family and I felt at home.. highly recommend.

Perfect spot for young adult beach goers, and good option for the price for families
I (M23) and my fiancé (F24) stayed here for four nights and we loved it. It’s not the the most fabulous resort you’ll ever stay in, but it’s perfect for the price point. If you’re the type of person that heads out to the beach early and doesn’t come back until dark, look no further. Since you don’t have to worry about parking on Folly Island, you can make a quick 20 minute trip over even when bridge traffic is at its worst, enjoy the whole day at Folly and then come back to crash. Barebones crash pad honestly undersells this place. A full family who intends to stay in the house a lot might find it wanting, but if you just need a place to sleep while you spend most of your time on Folly, this is the spot for you.

Great spot !!
Me and my gf come down about twice a year and love James island and folly beach . The location was perfect . Very close to everything . The property was better than advertised . The shop next door was no bother but there is a tenant that lives next door I wasn’t aware of. There were also no issues with that just thought I’d mention it. All in all this place was exactly what I was looking for and i will be visiting again

Good location, cheap, close to beach and city
If you get the place I wouldn't plan on spending much time there. I would also not count on using the couch as a bed. This house feels like a flip that is halfway done /partially works. For example curtains are close pinned up, no shower liner, no trash bags, no comfortable furniture that's not a bed, and is in a pretty loud area. With that said this place is relatively cheap but I wouldn't go there with more than 4 people. Due to the one bathroom

Ean, Thank you for your feedback. I wish you had let me know there were no trash bags. I would have dropped some off at your door. There are 3 beds in this unit. 6 people will sleep comfortably in the beds. I will improve the curtains and add a shower curtain today. I hope you enjoyed the brand new oven and stove.

Great Value
This place is exactly as described - a bare bones crash pad. Very clean. Well equipped with most things you would need. Beds were comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews there is no dishwasher or stove but there is a 2 burner hot pad and a combination air fryer/oven that would meet most needs. Location is on a busy road. We had AC issues and a checkin issue, but the host was very responsive to all of those - even the checkin issue at 11pm at night. Internet/wifi is spotty - I wouldn’t plan to work from this location. There is an outdoor space but as mentioned, but on a busy road and in a more commercial area.

Great little house
Everything in the listing is accurate, close to anything you could need, 15ish minutes from the beach. There were plenty of extra towels, toilet paper, dish soap, ect. My kids are still talking about it! My only con is how close it is to the road. I should have read the listing better. If you’re a parent like me, full of anxiety surrounding your children, then being that close might be something you’d rethink. Other than that I have no complaints!

James Island Visit
The location perfectly fit our needs to be close to our kids for the week. It is also close to stores and restaurants, which was great. The space is good for 2-4 people but cooking would be a challenge as there isn’t a proper stove. It is 10-15 mins from Folly beach and downtown Charleston too! Place was clean, property manager was responsive, easy checkin and checkout as well.

Please do not believe this review. There is not a muffler shop next door. This gentleman is upset. And I understand why. The unit was not clean when he arrived. I gave him the option of a refund or I would have the cleaning company come immediately. The unit was cleaned and ready within an hour and half. I apologized repeatedly. James did not enter the unit after it was cleaned. He reached out to VRBO and was put up in a hotel. I refunded his money immediately.

Great Location
Unit was a short drive to downtown or folly beach, easy to get to from anywhere. Right off the main road, but the cars calm down at night so the noise isn’t too bad. The door needs some TLC (which I saw was acknowledged) but there are appropriate locks/deadbolts so aside from a draft there was no concern.

A winner in many ways
Newly renovated office to spartment conversion. All rooms are fairly new, including kitchen. No full oven, but not needed as there is an air fry-toaster, all utensils and pots,pans and new frig. They need to work out a few little things, but nothing really important as you will be out and about. Very convenient and there is great food on James,Johms islands at half price of city, which is only 15 min away. On main drag, but at this price its fine... you are not moving there forever.

The property is in need of upkeep.
The key was hard to get, no outside lighting and many lights were out in unit. The kitchen door barely opened and had a large open space beneath the door for mice or snakes! Had there been a fire, it was not an eady exit. Concerning! There were no window covering on windows facing a very busy street, and it has an auto repair on 2 sides- very noisy! Amenities were absent and the water department came to shut off the water for nonpayment! A barebones stay! Many little things add up to discomfort, things like lighting, bath soap, tp, latching doors, a place to hang clothes, etc! No range, no washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. i will not use again.

Well Sandra did not enjoy her stay. All other reviews are 5 star!!! I hope you will not let Sandra’s review stop you from enjoying this unit. Sandra, as I said during your stay, I was sick with COVID. The maintenance was not up to par due to my illness. And I apologized to you for the mix up with the water company. It was a mix up in the billing and a one time issue. I appreciate you pointing out all the flaws in my unit. However, the unit is advertised below market rate because it does not have a dishwasher, washer/dryer or oven/stove/range, which is stated clearly in the listing. If this unit had those items, this unit would rent for three times as much in this market. I appreciate every guest and I strive for 5 stars!

Very nice stay !
The place looks exactly like the pictures. Older kitchen but everything works great. Beautiful decorations. Very comfortable bed. Only inconvenience was there was no tv remote so the tv didn’t work but that’s okay because we didn’t go on vacation to watch tv. If you did, you should’ve just stayed home. This place is a great stay if you’re going to be doing other activities and cooking at the house. Publix close by as well as restaurants if you want to go out.

Perfect for our adult children and grandchildren visiting!
This was absolutely perfect for our adult daughter and her family to stay while visiting us! We downsized our home since the kids left and have small dogs. This rental was nearby and has a fully stocked kitchen. Grandpa and I were able to cook a big breakfast for our grandchildren while our daughter slept-in. We absolutely will tell our friends about this place for when their adult children visit AND we will book this same place when our children visit again!!
