"We arrived early evening, but spend a long time finding the hotel, as there are no sign at all, the marker for the hotel is wrong on google maps and they have no address. We had to drive around in the rain for almost an hour asking locals where to find the hotel. When arrived, there is a long walk from the parking to the hotel and no lighting on the path. "Really like this hotel. Beautiful view, off the beaten path a bit but still a not too far tuk tuk ride to town. More laid back than the fancier hotel next door but you can still eat there. Loved that breakfast and kayaks were included. Staff was really nice. Good value too. Staying here was like the best of both worlds with the convenience of staying in Panajachel but views being on the lake, especially if you only have a couple nights at the lake. "

Located on the quieter side of town, this hotel is about 1.5 miles from the Embarcadero for San Pedro and San Juan. Laundry services are available for a reasonable price. Breakfast is also available for various options. "

"My husband and I had wonderful stay at Kula Maya, and we saw the most beautiful sunrise from our balcony. Sofia and Wendy, who were at the front desk, were really serviceminded both prior and during our stay. "

"Staff was so welcoming. I was surprised when I saw them meeting us down at the parking lot (2 of them) giving us a warm welcome and offering to carry luggage/bags. Room had a great view of the lake and volcanos, bedding was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Entire room was so spacious. Breakfast was nice as well with a combination of many things we liked. Food and drinks were great. To top it all is the view of Lake Atitlan and the volcanos from the infinity pool. That is magical."

"The room was not only clean, but had a spectacular view and was so comfortable. Staff was so nice and accommodating. One of the best parts about our stay was the included breakfast and the dinner (not included) which was delicious! We thought we’d explore the island more for dinner but ended up eating at El Picnic because it was just that good. Gaby is an amazing hostess and went above and beyond to assist us with whatever we needed as well. Thanks for a great stay that we will always remember!"

"The hotel is in a good location, it is in a more secluded area, but is relatively close to the main street and the ferries. Clean and comfortable rooms, and staff allowed for early check-in which was very convenient. I would recommend the facility owners to install smaller lamps next to the bed as there is only the bright main light."
