On the 1st floor of a modern residence, the open-plan apartment has a spacious shaded balcony which acts as an extension of inside living space. It is furnished with an outdoor seating area and a dining table for meals al fresco.

Location
The resort of San Pietro is in the heart of Lalzit Bay, one of the most popular holiday destinations in Albania. It is known for its sandy, child-friendly beach, good restaurants (2 minutes walk) and bars. There is plenty to do on the beach including scuba diving, jet-skiing, water-skiing and a children’s playground. For self-catering there is a supermarkets close by (1 minute drive).

Away from the coast, there are many charming hill towns, including Kruje (1 hour) which is home to 5th-century Kruje Castle, as well as Kruje Bazaar which dates back to the 17th century. Here you can find authentic Albanian carpets, textiles and ceramics. There are also hiking routes in the surrounding mountains which range from the easy to the challenging. Adults will also enjoy a tour of Duka Winery and Vineyard (15-minute drive) which includes wine tasting and a fine lunch.

Tirana is a 45-minute drive and makes a great day trip. It is an eclectic mix of Ottoman, Soviet and Fascist architecture. The city is easy to explore on foot. Blloku is an exciting, young area, full of cafés and interesting boutiques. The main square – Skanderbeg Square is a must-see. The city’s markets offer a window onto everyday life. The New Market, Pazari Ri offers a wide range of local produce.

Tirana International Airport is just a 40-minute drive from the apartment.
