"We had a lovely stay at Woodlands Country House. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great base to explore the wonderful Lake District and surrounds. Daryl and Naomi are great hosts. Daryl's food is amazing. We shall miss his great breakfasts. We were very sad to leave Woodlands. Would definitely stay there again. "

"Very welcoming reception from the host. We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic cooked breakfast each morning. My wife is coeliac and was well catered for. This B&B is ideally suited for the city centre, has close transport links and also provides on-street parking.
I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. "

"Lovely B&B. The building is grand and the rooms are big and airy. Free WiFi, iron and board, huge bathroom, dressing table with cotton wool balls etc Breakfast was lovely, full English, cereal, fruit and yoghurt nothing was too much trouble. If we are ever back in Carlisle we will stay here again 😊"

"We received a very warm welcome from Craig and Claire on arrival, Craig even carried my suitcase from the car to the hotel where Claire took over and gave us the tour of the hotel ground floor and explained how things worked. Our room was spacious enough with an ensuite, I might suggest you take on of the chairs out we never sat on both at the same time. Bathroom was a great size with plenty room for our toiletries. If you like the atmosphere of staying in an old English house you will definitely love it. We had a nice and quiet break from busy life there. Breakfast was nicely served. Close walking distance to hiking trail. It's a few minutes drive from town centre."

The accommodation was spacious and well laid out. Much thought has gone into furnishing and decoration of the hotel interior. Everywhere was bright and spotlessly clean.
