Fint hotel som fortjener bedre personale
Beliggenhed og værelser helt fint, men en del af bar og restaurant personalets opførsel overfor os og andre trak betydeligt ned i vores samlede oplevelse af hotellet. Hotellets Covid-19 løsning ift afvikling af morgenmaden var ikke ret gennemtænkt og fungerede slet slet ikke og den del af opholdet var slet ikke pengene værd

Alt undtagen personalet i restauranten var skønt!
Vi var 4 i familien, som overnattede på hotellet. Indtjekning fungerede super let. Værelserne var okay størrelse til 2 mennesker. Sengen var en smule hård, men det er et smagspørgsmål. Placeringen for hotellet var årsagen til at vi valgte det, da det er utrolig centralt. Indretningen på hotellet er virkelig smuk og meget stilet. Alt betjening var meget professionel, med undtagelse af betjeningen i restauranten, da personalet virkede meget "afslappede" på arbejde med interne jokes åbent i restauranten på bekostning af gæster, som skilte sig ud (sjove hatte eller beklædning). Dette brød desværre med en ellers fantastisk stemning på hotellet.

OK 1 night stay
OK for a night. The free parking only applies if there are free spaces in the very small lot right in front of the train station. We had to take the paid parking at the nearby shopping center instead

thank you for your comments, as an historical former Railway Hotel we do have few car parking spaces however negotiated a special rate in adjacent shopping centre underground car park

Centralt beliggenhed
Centralt beliggende hotel som nabo til Inverness Banegård. Flink personale i receptionen. Inkluderet afternoon tea hver dag. Stor morgenbuffet med både continental og English breakfast inkl. skotske retter. Værelset var ok, om end lidt slidt. Der var, hvad der skulle være. Nogle nabogæster røg desværre cigaretter en af aftenerne, og røgen trængte ind i vores værelse. P-mulighederne ved hotellet er stærkt begrænsede. Det er nemmere at parkere i P-huset i Rose Street, ca. 5 minutters gang fra hotellet. Prisen er overkommelig og lavere end i mange andre britiske byer. Kommer man med tog, kan det dårligt være nemmere.

The Royal Highlander Hotel is a quaint , enchanting , old style hotel. It has a beautiful staircase that I absolutely loved and a large lounge in the lobby that is comfortable. It also has a serviceable elevator from the ground floor and reception. So the stairs are just a grand show piece. Staff are very friendly. The continental breakfast is below par with a toaster that does not work, no dishes to put food on and slow refilling of exhausted offerings. However, it offers a large variety of choices. Hot items such as bacon, eggs and sausage, hash browns and baked beans are part of the Highland breakfast ,at a cost they can be included in your continental breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The stairwell is amazing, but other than that the hotel was just okay. It is hard for us to really rate this place as we were only there to sleep after long days out on group tours.

What an incredible deal! Free continental breakfast was wonderful. Lots of food choices as well as an inexpensive option to upgrade to Full English. We also opted for the free dinner option. The food was great. The staff of hotel was so nice. Our luggage was lost by airlines and desk staff was so helpful in pointing out convenient affordable places to purchase clothes and supplies. Hotel was convenient to all transportation, sites and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

The evening receptionist on duty spoilt the stay. She was rude and indifferent to two requests. Appalling atitude to guests and do not know why she remains employed at the hotel. The rest of the staff were wonderful. The ladies who clean work very hard; immaculate room. I recommend them. The dinner and cafe staff were lovely. The other receptionist early in the day lovely.

Location right next to the train station is very good and staff were friendly and helpful. However, this hotel is tired and in need of a real refurbishment. The window in my room didn't fully close, which meant it was cold and noisy in the evening.

The hotel was in an interesting and historic building, and the room was clean and functional. Parking was a nightmare, but the proximity to shops and dining can’t be beat. It is a great location to see the city and everything is walkable.

Though the staff was quick to check in. I was so disappointed and frustrated about the parking situation. Upon arrival the “free parking” that the hotel had on their website was limited to a mere 7-10 parking stalls that was shared with the train station and taxi services. Upon asking where do we park, we were told to go down the road to a parkade to keep the car and walk back to the hotel for our stay. I was also told to wait until 6/7 pm and then there should be more areas to park. My husband and I waited and again, there was no parking. We had to return to the parkade and pay for parking and was not compensated for it. For a hotel that says “free parking” it should say limited free parking and then give customers some sort of compensation for parking costs overnight. The hotel itself is nice. Right in the middle of lots of shopping and restaurants. Besides of few sea gulls you can hear out the window, it was quiet. The room was a decent size, the bathroom was cleanish except a few rust spots. The heater im the room was pretty nasty looking with lots of wear. Beds were good though!

There was a peculiar unpleasant smell in the lobby. Depending on your room the seagulls will be an unwelcome alarm. Reception staff were awesome. Located directly next to train station and close to bus station if that is a necessity for you.

Pleasant if tired hotel, the main issue being the plumbing. Having stayed on the third floor, Everytime a neighbouring room used a water source, I was disturbed by loud pipes including being woken at 4.45 am. Ok for the price but not a good nights sleep.

Very cool building in an excellent location. My room was small (described as "cozy"), but very affordable and had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Needs updating.
The bathroom although clean was needing the shower and surroundings redone. There were black marks along the bottom of the shower and bodged on the outside where it probably leaked at one time. The windows rattled all night and were dirty and needed painting. There was no one in reception so eventually went to the bar to ask someone to check me in. The staff were pleasant when arrived.
