"We stayed at Esh for 3 nights in April 2026 with our two adult children as part of celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. After spending the day in the lively, and cozy surfer town Nosara we drove up the hill side where the quietness and barefoot luxury at Esh met us. It was the most extraordinary and special hotel experience we had in Costa Rica. It felt like we were visiting friends, from the very warm welcome at the lobby from both the owners and the receptionist, the flower bucket in our room and the very personal cards from the staff to welcome us as we celebrated our anniversary. The receptionist Valery was amazing, before we even knew what we needed, she had suggestions for us, but in a very calm and professional way. The interior of both the rooms, the restaurant and surroundings are so aesthetic balanced and well decorated that it was an outmost joy to stay there. With all the small details from the incents, the soft pool day beds set in an oasis of palm trees, the fireplace in the middle of the pool at night, to the soft Brazilian Bossa nova music playing at the pool area. The yoga classes, that we attended every day were high end, and the cold plunge was a nice refreshing treat afterwards. We simply fell in love with the tranquil atmosphere of the place. The rooms had very good and large beds with ultrasoft linen and an amazing view of the palm trees outside. The interior decoration and the layout of the rooms made them very spacious and functiona"
