Hoteller nær Hyland House Museum

"Overall the hotel room was nice and clean, my issue was with the bathroom. There were a few gnats (or drain flies) in the bathroom which is a bad sign of scum buildup. The toilet clogged up a few times. Thankfully it didn’t overflow, just needed a few extra flushes. The toilet seat and lid were loose from the toilet itself. A good place to stay if you just need a bed at the end of the day. The diner across the street is a town staple, but it’s closed on Mondays and a crosswalk would be...

"Hotel that allows smoking says it all"

"More like a bed and buffet! Ask Ray about the imported from Naples pastries! I stayed in comfy room 2 which has its own private entry/exit n the side. Check out hole in the wall Friends & Co for amazing lobster roll and fries and Allegre for Italian 4-course prix-fixe. Hammonasset Beach State Park nearby was a nice oasis in the fall. Would visit here again with the lady."

"A lovely stay at a classic New England B & B. Perfect location for a visit to Madison."

"I saw someone else write a review that said it was weird the curtains didn't go all the way down in the window area and they were right, which was a bit odd... Also the doors to the rooms are HEAVY! You can hear them slamming in the night while trying to sleep and it's no one's fault, they just automatically slam due to their weight. "Our family has been using American Inn in Branford, CT as a rest stop to visit my wife's mother in New Hampshire. It is a short trip (under 2 hours) to get a head start out of the New York metro area after evening rush hour. All rooms are accessed from the outside right in front of your parking space. They have two queen beds and rooms are always clean... and the price is right 😉 It is perfect for our trip!"
