"This was my second visit. I love staying here. The staff are most welcoming, as are the locals. The hospitality, food and beers are all excellent. The hotel building, bar, restaurant and grounds are most pleasant. The cuisine was served quickly and is very tasty. It is in a lovely place, which is quiet and also not too far from the town. It is also easily accessible. Very easy going and no complications. If I go to Ipswich again I will stay at The Sorrell Horse again!"

"All excellent but for lift closing at 10, I have walking difficulties so it could have been an issue, it should be on the website for others to see as they only have one disabled room on the ground floor"

Help yourself to cereal, fruit juice and DIY toast. I ordered the vegan hot breakfast which was brought to me on a plate, everything was hot and cooked to my liking. The hotel kindly allowed a later check out with a prompt and polite response to our request. Check in was efficient and simple. The evening meal was superb - great value and the pavlova! Wow! Chef’s kiss! All in all - a beautiful historic building and a really enjoyable stay. We will return I am sure. "
