Welcome to Lakeview Escape, located in a small neighborhood in the Heights Marina area. This 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage-sleeps 4 comfortably, but can accommodate 6 guests. Located a few houses from the water with road end access to the lake, makes an ideal home for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Lakeview escape offers a cozy, stylish, coastal, and clean stay. Newly remodeled bedrooms with a queen bed in master, full size bunks in second bedroom, comfortable beds, A/C, coffee bar, spotless clean flooring throughout cabin, and lots of amenities.

Outdoor Area:

Relax on the front patio with lake views or head to the backyard to enjoy the gazebo, firepit, grill, and outdoor seating—perfect for making memories day or night.

Livingroom:

The family room, relax on our comfortable reclining couch while you take in your favorite movie on the Roku TV or challenge each other with a broad game. Enjoy the ambience of the electric fireplace, which also provides extra warmth during the colder months of the year. Enjoy hanging out in the family room for your ability to create some great memories.

Bedrooms:

The primary bedroom offers a comfortable queen-size bed for restful nights. It includes thoughtful touches like bedside charging lamps, tables and a Roku TV for unwinding. You'll find ample storage space in the closet for your belongings with full length mirror.

The second bedroom features a full over full bunk bed and also has storage space, bedside charging plug, reading lamps, and a Roku TV. All bedrooms are equipped with blackout curtains and blinds to ensure a good night's sleep.

A dedicated workspace is available in the second bedroom, offering a convenient spot for those who need to work or study during their stay. With fast Wi-Fi at 363 Mbps, you can comfortably take video calls and stream.

Kitchen:

The kitchen is fully stocked with a gas stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, crockpot, and all the essentials you need—plus cooking oils, basic spices, and storage supplies. Start your morning with a cup of coffee from the drip maker or Keurig, then enjoy it on the front patio with a peaceful lake view. Starter supplies of ground coffee, k-cup, tea, creamer and sweeteners provided. Dine indoor at the pub table (seats 4, plus 2 foldable stools for a tight squeeze) and enjoy your meal. Most days you can do what many of our guests prefer, dine outside on the back patio with gazebo and cook on the propane grill. You can pick up groceries at one of the nearby stores – Walmart curbside pickup is guest favorite.

Bathrooms & Laundry:

Refresh and rejuvenate in the common bathroom which offers a tub/shower combo and all bathroom essentials (hair dryer, towels, makeup towels, plenty of toilet paper, toiletries, and more).

For longer stays, you'll appreciate the in-unit laundry area, equipped with a washer and dryer, and laundry soap. An iron, ironing board, and steamer are also available for your use.

It's an ideal spot for anyone looking for a quiet escape with easy access to outdoor activities while still being near everyday conveniences. Experience all that Houghton Lake has to offer when you stay at this inviting cottage with family and friends!

Year-Round Fun:

Spring/Summer/Fall: swim, fish, kayak or bring up your boat, or ORV! After coming in off the lake or trails, kick back in the comfortable living room or lounge in the back yard. Grab a seat around the fire pit and make some S'mores!

Winter: attend Tip up Town (in Jan), walk to ice fish, bring your snowmobiles or ORV, head to the Cross-Country ski headquarters, and so much more!

Guest access:
Guests will have private access to the entire home, with the exception of one cleaners' closet located in the bathroom and the shed. Entry is made easy with self check-in via a smart lock. There is a small driveway, providing parking for 3 vehicles or 2 vehicles and a trailers, 75 ft long.

→ There are no steps to enter this single-level cabin.
→ Lot - Cozy small lot with parking for 3 vehicles or 2 vehicles and a trailer (75ft). The back yard is open and meets up to other neighbors' property. The backyard provides a nice space to hangout and having a bonfire.
→ Privacy/ Neighbors- There are houses on all sides of the home. Neighbors are super close- about 20ft. away. No loud music or parties. This is NOT considered a "secluded" property.
→ You may encounter bugs and wildlife as the cottage is located near the water. Please keep outdoor porch lights off when not in use and keep doors closed, when possible, it helps keep them outside!
→ Mini split is in the living room available for your heating and cooling needs (Apr to Oct. There is also central heating available in the winter months.
→ Lakeview Escape is nestled in the Heights Marina neighborhood among other cottages and houses on the Southwest of Houghton Lake, MI. Cabin located just a short drive away from restaurants and other amenities!
→ There are three security cameras for security. Location; two cameras are located on the back of the house, facing the driveway/side door/road. A third camera is located on the front of the house, facing the front yard/lake. All cameras are on, work and actively record video/audio when motion is detected. There are no indoor cameras.
→ Lake Access - located just a few homes approx 300' from the water! The lake is accessible via the public, road-end, lake access!
→ The road-end lake access - you will find easy access to swim or launch paddle broads via a shallow shoreline!
→ Sandy bottoms extend out into Houghton Lake.
