Kom med os på North Shore Cottage i Upper Peninsula's Keweenaw County. - vores beliggenhed er omkring 3,5 miles fra downtown historiske Calumet - men stadig stille og beliggende i skoven foret strand på Lake Superior. Vi er bekvemt placeret nær alle seværdigheder i området. Copper Harbor, Mt. Böhmen, Swedetown og Houghton / Hancock-området.

Huset har 1 soveværelse med 2 dobbeltsenge og en sammenhængende sofa i stuen. Køkkenet har alle fornødenheder samt ekstra faciliteter såsom mikrobølgeovn og moderne kaffemaskine. Badeværelset har et komplet bad / brusebad. Højhastigheds Wi-Fi og direkte tv er også inkluderet. Vores beliggenhed er ren, velholdt og fuldt udstyret til et behageligt og afslappende ophold.

We loved our experience and would absolutely give it an 11 out of ten!!! Very cute, cozy, and clean with an amazing view! The property as a whole was beautiful, with each cottage having their own private yard space. You feel very VIP with having your own private beach on Lake Superior. The host, Phil, was also super friendly and helpful. He was great on giving recommendations on places to visit and see as well as being very accommodating! This cottage was everything as advertised. When driving up to the property my husband commented “Wow, this is it!” after staying in a few other areas that were not as quiet and private. Right smack dab in wooded nature yet cleared grounds for exploring. Steps away from Lake Superior, we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunsets as well as search for the infamous Yooperlites. The cottage had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay!

Great time on the Keweenaw

The started off a little rocky, but our host was most helpful. We enjoyed wonderful weather (even thunderstorms in the UP are amazing), saw unmatched natural beauty, and managed to find a few special rocks. We definitely will come back.

Adorable cottage! Beautiful sunsets!

This sweet cottage has plenty of seating for dining, plenty of relaxing space on the couches with windows overlooking the stream and the shoreline, and plenty of comfortable sleeping space in the bedroom for 4 adults. Kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to make a dinner for your family. I even baked cookies! The oven worked great. Highly recommend!

This is a Gem!

I hate to say too much about this cottage, because then everyone will want to stay there and it will be booked solid. This Premiere Host has a way of keeping everything updated and cleverly arranged. Love the view! The neighbors (eleven deer) were as quiet as possible as they passed by the cabin at sunrise and sunset. It's just a special place. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Beautiful cottage poor communication

The cottage is beautiful. The view is amazing. But beware....there is no cell service when you get there, you will need to drive to the end of the road if you dont have the wifi password with you. We were not able to find the cottage. I had called and left a message for the owner even though the voicemail says not to and texted them trying to get help to find the cottage. I am still waiting for them to respond.

Perfection!!!!

The weather let us down but North Shore Cottages did not! Check in and check out couldn't have been any simpler. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed. The attention to detail, the thoughtful welcome gifts, and the care in the set up of the whole cabin was so nice and welcoming. Truly above and beyond! You can tell that the host really understands what’s important to us travelers! While we never needed to contact the host for any issues, all of their contact info was in the welcome book if we needed it and I just know they would have been happy to help if needed! My daughter and I enjoyed the easy beach access and all the amenities! Can’t wait to visit again some day!!!

Cute cabin, perfect location

The cabin is cozy and was perfect for spending time on the shore of Lake Superior. We loved the babbling brook. We found glowing rocks and saw the northern lights. The cabin had everything we needed. Thank you so much.

Wonderful cottage and location on Lake Superior

Our stay in early May was wonderful! There were no crowds, beautiful waterfalls, interesting weather variations (fog , frozen harbor) and beaches for walking and rock hunting (yooperlites)! The location is great for exploring Keweenaw Peninsula. We enjoyed nature trails, lighthouses, historic copper mines, and the mineral museum. The sunsets at the cottage were beautiful. The cottage is very comfortable, had everything we needed (and more), and the sound of the babbling brook is so relaxing! The hosts were very welcoming with treats on the table upon our arrival (delicious homemade bread, coffee and more) and they gave immediate responses to questions. FYI the "tourist season" opens in mid-to-late May, so some stores and restaurants were closed or had limited hours. It didn't impact our trip as we spent most of our time outside enjoying nature without crowds and insects!

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I rented this cabin for our 10 year anniversary. The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us! One of our favorite parts of the trip was all the deer that came to the property everyday. We already plan to book with them again in the future!

Cottage on Lake Superior

Booked this cottage as a place to stay during the Copperdog150 race. Cottage offers a beautiful view of Lake Superior, bubbling creek along the side and is close to Calumet. No phone service, but Wi-Fi worked great. Would like to stay at this property in the summer when the beach can be explored more. Had a pretty hard time finding this property as it’s hidden behind the large blue house to the east of house 127 and you don’t have phone service to call the host. There were no house numbers on either house, which made it hard to find but would also be a concern if someone were to need emergency services. If you turn in the driveway and where the portside sign is, the cottage is back there. Was also disappointed that the description says the sauna is on the property, but it’s actually across the road (which might be the hosts whole property, but it’s portrayed as it’s close to the cottage). It isn’t a bad walk, but not as convenient as a few steps outside your door. Its more of a community sauna vs private to the cottage. Other than those two things, cottage was clean, tidy and had plenty of towels. Complementary welcome gifts were a nice touch.

Family getaway

Nice quiet little cottage. Great location. Plenty of wildlife to watch. A little tight - parking a 4 place snowmobile trailer, but we got it. We would like to visit in the the summer sometime to walk the beach.

Perfect Getaway!

My parents and I really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Cottage was clean, quaint and had everything we needed. Aside from exploring everything the neighboring towns had to offer, we really enjoyed our time at the cottage. We had breakfast every morning on the picnic table with a beautiful view of Lake Superior in sight, rock hunted every night, star gazed and enjoyed a fire on the beach. We never had a chance to use the sauna but our wonderful neighbors we had behind us used it and said it was great! We kept the window cracked in the kitchen every night and enjoyed hearing the sounds of the brook that ran alongside the cottage as we ate together and planned our next adventure for the following day. 10/10 recommend! We plan to be back in the Spring. Thank you, Phillip!

Very nice

Overall, what a great location, cottage and enjoyable week exploring. Would have loved to stay longer, but grateful for the time we did have. Such a peaceful retreat to rest and rejuvenate the soul.
