Events in the Wildschönau
At various events you can experience a part of the Tyrolean tradition first hand repeatedly.
Dorfabend Niederau: Wöchtentlich there in Niederau jew Wednesday from 19:00 in summer the village Evening.! Before the concert by the brass band Niederau usually still play a local small group "real folk music". There are every week old Tyrolean specialties from various clubs like the Ortsbäurinen, Niederauer Male Choir among others

Krautinger Week: Unique in its kind, the Krautinger week in October! Every year at harvest time is organized a feast for the beet in the Valley. Bergadvent Wildschönau: end of November, there is one of the nicest and quietest festivals in the valley. The Alpine Advent in Bauernmuseum zBach. Folk music groups and traditional clubs offer a unique insight into the past.
Skiopening Wildschönau: Mostly in the second week of December the time has come. The big ski opening is celebrated! At the lift car park in Auffach there is a large marquee and at numerous ski lodges will also be celebrated with live music.
In addition to these celebrations every year there are numerous individual events that vary in date. It continuously stirs something in the Valley!

The Wildschönau
The Wildschönau is an idyllic high valley amid the Kitzbühel Alps - with no through traffic, without
Industry, but with working farms, mountain huts and lots of tradition. The
Residents of the four church villages Niederau, Oberau, Auffach and Thierbach living from agriculture and
by tourism. While the Wildschönau applies in the summer as an excellent walking area, transforming

Niederau
The first place when you drive in the Wildschönau and not far away from our house Astoria is Niederau. With the Markbachjoch, the summer and winter leads a gondola Here is also the nationally known Flugschule Wildschönau for paragliders. The Skijuwel Wilschönau Alpbachtal ski area offers both beginners and experienced perfect conditions and is very varied. Oberau - Mühltal
In the middle between Niederau and Oberau one finds some of the most important Einrichungen the Valley as the Bergbauernmuseum z'Bach, local swimming pool, the TVB or the local tennis court.
An absolute eye-catcher is certainly the old Baroque parish church of Oberau named because of their size and the cathedral in the Tyrolean country. Cosy and traditional inns shape the image of this place. Here is also very centrally located our house Astoria Wildschönau.
If you drive further to get to Mühltal. From here you start to visit the natural canyon gorge to Kundl.
Auffach
From Auffach rises one in the new ski Skijuwel! This new Skisensation one of the 10 largest areas of Tyrol. The offer was imens increased by the merger of the ski area Alpbachtal and Schatzbergbahn. In former times also silver was mined on the Schatzberg. Even in summer, the railway is in operation and one can reach the middle station Koglmoos and the summit, which is the starting point of beautiful hikes. Auffach is not far from our house Astoria.
Thierbach
The townscape of Thierbach is already unchanged for years! Therefore you will find here a special gem of a Tyrolean mountain village, which is one of the smallest with a private elementary school with a few students at the same time. The center of Thierbach is not far from our house.
