"We had a fantastic stay at Shibu Hotel. The staff were so kind and welcoming. They made us feel so special throughout our stay. The Kaiseki dinner was such an experience. The room was very nice, clean and had nice decor. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Shibu Onsen. "

However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10am"

It’s a great little hotel with everything you need - spacious boot and ski room, free lockers, day room, lounge with fire and free marshmallows for toasting every day, washing machines and tumble dryers, onsen, restaurant, wine and beer and an illy coffee machine. But most importantly the staff are lovely particularly Aki the manager and it is sooo close to the main Tagamaghara lift. One of the best ski holidays we’ve had. The decor is a little dated but...

Ao chegar no hotel, eles disponibilizam roupas típicas da cultura japonesa para serem usadas durante a estadia, que achamos bem legal. A comida é típica japonesa. "We arrived 6 hours before checkin to leave our luggage and head to the snow monkey park and they were kind enough to drive us right to the entrance , they have a pass so we didnt have to walk up from the bus stop like everyone else."
