Our parking, which is very limited and offered on a first come, first serve basis, is 45 plus tax a day, and if you're active duty military and/or a local resident, it is 22.50 plus tax a day. I also appreciate you giving me the opportunity to contextualize your observations.First off, we are not a property that offers room rentals by the hour. Realizing later that you just wanted to have a brief nap at our hotel, I believe that your greatest disenchantment with us was that we, like all hotels in Waikiki, charge by the night. We are not a communal space. Every one of our 72 guest rooms are private with en suite bathrooms and plenty of additional linens, towels, and pillows upon request at our 24 hour Front Desk. A hostel, by contrast, offers both communal and private spaces. Again, we are business classified as a hotel. We also do not have cots. We have comfortable hotel mattresses.That being said, the communal vibe you picked up on relates to the authentic Aloha spirit that you feel right as soon as you walk through our front door. I am continuously amazed by how friendly our hotel team is even after enduring the daily challenges of their positions.Case in point, when you realized that you had broken your suitcase wheel out of frustration, and we called for our houseman to assist you to your Uber because you refused to take the convenient ramp leading down to the street, we thought it best not to "just throw" your luggage down the main flight of steps as you vehemently insisted. Our cooler heads prevailed, and we were able to get you safely off to your next destination. This level of exceptional hospitality is our legacy, and we continue to preserve and protect it.We welcome all feedback, even those that contain words that paint a different picture from the happy experiences both new and returning guests have at our hotel. One of the trade offs for staying at our cozy, "home away from home" hotel is that we only have 16 parking spaces for 73 guest rooms. Thankfully, there are plenty of other parking options in the area for all budgets. Visitors who really want to save big will forego car rentals altogether and stick with our award-winning public transportation and ride share programs.
