Longtime Guests Traumatized – Absolutely Disgusting and Unsafe
My family has been staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village regularly since the Pro Bowl in 2008, and we’ve always considered it our go-to resort in Honolulu. That changed after our most recent visit, which turned into an absolute nightmare.
While relaxing by the pool, guests began throwing bottles of urine from the upper floors. You read that right—actual bottles filled with urine. In just 30 minutes, three bottles were thrown, and two of them struck my daughter and my niece. It was shocking, disgusting, and completely unacceptable.
Other guests witnessed the incident, including someone on the 10th floor who clearly saw where the bottles were coming from. Despite multiple complaints, security seemed completely uninterested in identifying who was responsible. No serious action was taken, no effort to isolate the area, no apology, and certainly no accountability.
For a resort that prides itself on being family-friendly, this was beyond disturbing. What’s worse is the complete lack of urgency and care from hotel staff and management. This wasn’t just a bad experience—it was a traumatic one for our kids and an utter failure of guest safety and response protocol.
After nearly two decades of loyalty to this property, we will not be returning unless major changes are made. Until Hilton can prove they take guest safety seriously, I urge families to avoid this hotel. No one should ever have to go through this
