Enjoy the rare convenience of one free unassigned parking stall (maximum vehicle height 6') in the building’s garage, located on floors 2 through 5. With unlimited in-and-out access, you can come and go as you please.

While free on-street parking may be available in areas like the Ala Wai Canal or near the Waikiki Shell, these limited spots often come with time restrictions or no-parking days due to street sweeping. No more wasting time and gas circling the block, hoping for an open spot—then having to keep track of time limits at inconvenient hours. With included garage parking, you can skip the stress entirely and enjoy peace of mind.

Laundry rooms with washers and dryers are located on each floor (except the 6th) and are operated by coins or a mobile app. A coin exchange machine is available in the lobby. Each floor also has a trash room with a chute and recycling area.

The Waikiki Banyan building is a popular classic choice located on the east end of Waikiki. This well-loved, older building is a favorite among both travelers and locals for its unbeatable location and value. Just half a mile from world-famous Waikiki Beach and steps away from vibrant nightlife, dining, and shopping, it’s an ideal home base for your stay in the island.

The building features two towers: Makai Tower (Tower 1), meaning “toward the ocean,” and Mauka Tower (Tower 2), meaning “toward the mountain.” The Honolulu International Airport (HNL) is conveniently less than an hour’s drive away.

The Bus stop is readily available just outside the building on Kuhio Avenue. There's also a Biki bicycle rental rack in front of the building.

Grocery shopping has never been easier- just a short walk away, you’ll find Target Waikiki (opened in late 2024), Waikiki Market by Food Pantry, and Duke’s Lane Market & Eatery—all perfect for picking up fresh produce, snacks, or quick meals. For even more convenience, there’s the Waikiki Banyan Mini Mart right in the lobby, as well as several nearby ABC Stores and Longs Drugs for everyday essentials. If you're planning a larger grocery run, there are plenty of options just outside Waikiki, including Safeway, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Target Ala Moana, Foodland, and Don Quijote—all within a 10–15 minute drive.

There’s no shortage of things to do in and around Waikiki. You can start with the beaches—Fort DeRussy Beach Park is great for swimming or just relaxing under the sun, and the Queens Walkway is a beautiful spot to take a stroll out over the water. For something a little different, visit the Waikiki Zoo or Waikiki Aquarium, both easy walks from the beach and great for all ages.

My personal food favorites: Ginza Bairin (tonkatsu), Kai Poke Waikiki (spicy ahi), Iyasume Musubi Cafe (avocado eel egg spam musubi), and EbiNomi (garlic shrimp). In the evenings, grab a drink and catch some live music at House Without A Key, Barefoot Beach Cafe, or the classic Duke’s Waikiki—all great spots with a view.

If you’re in the mood to shop, you’ve got plenty of choices nearby: International Market Place, Royal Hawaiian Center, T Galleria, Waikiki Shopping Plaza, and just a short drive away, the massive Ala Moana Center.

If you’re up for a little adventure outside Waikiki, head to the North Shore for beautiful beaches for surfing and a more laid-back vibe. You can also hike up Diamond Head for one of the best views on the island, or take a peaceful hike to Manoa Falls, surrounded by lush island beauty. For something unique, check out the Jurassic Adventure Tour at Kualoa Ranch—where scenes from movies like Jurassic Park were filmed. And if you're feeling extra adventurous, you can even book a day trip to the Big Island to see real volcanic craters up close.

Guest access
Check-in begins at 4 PM, and checkout is at 10 AM. During your stay, you’ll have exclusive access to the entire unit, allowing you to unwind and enjoy a truly private experience with no shared accommodations.

One Free Parking stall (max height: 6 ft) is included inside the building's Parking garage from the 2nd to 5th floor. The building's Parking garage entrance has a sign posted indicating the maximum height limit of 6 feet, so please note that if your vehicle exceeds this height or is oversized, Parking is not permitted. Also, ensure that you park only within the boundaries of the assigned Parking stall.

The Association of Apartment Owners of the Waikiki Banyan will be renovating the recreation deck from April 7, 2025 through June 30, 2026. The entire recreation deck will be inaccessible, including the swimming pool, hot tubs, playground, and barbecue grills.
Work hours will be restricted to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Noise is expected. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
