"House was very unique and fun with the wrap around second level porch/lanai. House was clean, each of the three rooms had its own full bathroom w/ shower. Beds were large. View was amazing and you can hear the waterfall on the property. Check in/out was easy, good communication with the host. The description did not clearly state that the only stairway between the levels was outdoor therefore requires you to unlock the door by keypad when going from one level to the other. "We visited Hawaii for the first time this summer for my parent's 60th Anniversary. There were 11 of us in total at the house and we could not have made a better choice. There was plenty of space for everyone ( ok sometimes the teenage girls spent too much time in the bathrooms) and the surroundings were perfect. We loved meals on the balcony overlooking the ocean. "I am a repeat guest from 20 years ago and found it to be just as charming and bucolic as I remembered.This is the "other Hawaii" where peacefulness and quiet prevail. The animals in the pastures are the backdrop along with amazing views of Maui. Chris couldn't have been a better host, and a joy to talk to.His love of this area is obvious and contagious.Get away from the resorts and get out to the country.This is the best way to do it. "
