Prepare for river fun in this bright condo, perfectly set up for a couple or small family! The shared deck is a great place to enjoy the fresh air, watch the boats pass by on the Kalamazoo River, and meet new friends on their own adventures. After a long day, it's easy to store leftovers or prep a simple late-night snack in the kitchenette. Not to mention, each dreamy day can end on a good note with a favorite movie on the flatscreen TV!

What's nearby:
Guests will love the easy accessibility of most places in this area! Drive less than a mile over to Oval Beach or walk there on the Mt. Baldhead Park Trail. Hitch a ride across the river on the Saugatuck Chain Ferry (the last hand-cranked ferry in the United States) at the stop just 500 feet away. Saugatuck Dune Rides (just over four miles from the condo) can help guests ride out to see a whole other side of the region!

The condo was fine, the parking was impossible. Telling us each unit would get a spot is so wrong. The first night we had to park illegally to get anywhere near the units, and the second night we were only left 1/2 of a space due to a Pickup taking up 1 1/2 spaces, and were got a threatening note suggesting towing early in the morning. Luckily, we left early. But worrying every time we went out if there would be a spot when we returned was not fun. Some residents scored pink “tickets” to use, saying they got them when they checked in. We were not told to physically check in…just given the key code. And the front door key required LOTS of patience to operate ONLY every time we left or returned. Plus, 8 throw pillows is too many to constantly move and juggle for comfort!

Easy riverside stay

What a great area and suitable apartment for a get away. Minutes from the beach, totally walkable, and other nearby facilities and attractions. Within a few minutes drive (when the ferry is not in operation) of the very pleasant village that is Saugatuck. Great stay

Fine, but two serious issues

Small (that's OK as long as there are only two of you), mostly clean & modern, but two serious issues. 1. No WIFI since the documentation in the property matched none of the networks. Multiple resets of the router, multiple devices, no go. 2. Key was bent that made locking/unlocking a nightmare. + Local text number never responded. + Phoned agency ans was told that they already knew about the key problem and would fix it - also never happened As long as you don't need WIFI, are willing to spend 5-10 mins every time you want to unlock/lock the door, and there are only 2 people, then this place is in a good location, for a good price, and is clean and tidy.

So much for a quiet getaway from the kids!

The room itself is great, small, good lighting, clean and everything you would need for 2 people for a wknd. The heat/AC unit was scuzzy and would run when it wanted and wouldnt stay on continuously which would had helped for the obnoxious neighbors. First night had quite the amout of loud people out on back deck for a little bit of time then went quiet. But the second night(sat) didnt get going till right at midnight, complete with 90s dance hits/karaoke and stomping that felt like it was coming thru the paper thin walls, actually called the police twice on them, wasnt like anything we have ever experienced anywhere, and totally not expected for Saugatuck. Was a rough night beofre checkout to say the least, but i guess thats the chance one takes with little rooms very close like that. Just very inconsiderate young people, not even sure where they parked, cause thats a whole other nightmare about this place...

Saugatuck stay review

Our only issue was with owner communication. On our 1st morning, we were confronted by the owner regarding a noise complaint. She also clarified that we needed to stay in our zone of the shared patio. We do have 2 young children and were a bit surprised and concerned by the complaint. We had not been on the patio, so that comment was definitely not proceeded by anything. Ultimately, our biggest issue was the delivery of the complaint. The owner was negative, swift and aggressive in communication; which left us a bit shocked and uncomfortable. Our stay was otherwise lovely, but we could not shake this poor 1st impression for the duration of our vacation.

Great Getaway

We enjoyed our stay very much. The space was smaller than expected, but the weather was nice and the patio on the water made up for it. It was very convenient to get to town using the Chain Ferry, and we loved all the shopping and restaurants.

Nice clean place

Nice clean efficiency type condo. One room with king bed and pull out sofa. Stored groceries in small apt size fridge. Cooked meals on electric stove. Worked perfect for us. All supplies provided . Quiet neighborhood. Nice view. Good area for walks.

Great little condo with a fun view of the river

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was in a great location, within a short driving distance to everything. We loved having the patio set, so we could sit and watch the boats go by while we ate our breakfast. Our only complaints were that it was a little bit cramped with all of the extra furniture, and the TV was a bit confusing to figure out. Also, don’t count on the chain ferry running during your visit. It didn’t run at all while we were there, so we had to drive into downtown Saugatuck.

Great view!

The location was a great spot to spend our anniversary trip, however, for the price, never again. The room wasn’t very clean. There was mildew all over in the shower, the shower curtain liner was absolutely disgusting, the bathroom door handle was hanging off, the sink in the bath had mildew In the drain and grime all around the faucet, the clock didn’t work, internet was constantly going out, the coffee pot leaked water all over, and the blinds kept falling off which seemed to be a regular thing because there were extras in the closet. I’ve never wrote a bad review and we travel a lot. But like I said, this was the most we’ve ever paid and it was by far the worst. Very disappointing.

Great view, clean & cozy!

Overall it was a very nice unit. It is small but has everything you need for a short stay. We had 3 adults but it is best suited for 2 adults. The shared patio is nice and was a wonderful view across to the shopping & dining area.. The overall price was a little high. The location is good but our stay was early May and the ferry was not operating yet. It is a quick drive around to the shopping & dining area and to Oval Beach. The only negatives were 1. the walls between the units are VERY thin. We could hear our neighbors conversations. 2. The hot water was warm at best and maybe just needed the water heater turned up a notch. Otherwise very clean and pleasant.
