Enjoy the warm sunshine of Barbados from Yellow Bird, this beautifully refurbished top floor penthouse apartment based in the luxurious Sugar Hill resort. As an end unit it has a larger footprint with additional space, privacy and seclusion. The far reaching sea views can be enjoyed from a newly renovated sun deck.

Named after the famous Yellow Bird of Barbados, this very private apartment overlooks lush tropical gardens and one of the two swimming pools with views into the distance of the Caribbean sea. As well as enjoying stunning views from both the dining terrace and rooftop terrace, you will be able to relax and unwind in this peaceful haven. Perhaps start your day taking breakfast on the dining terrace while discussing your plans together. You might even be lucky enough to spot a green monkey roaming in the grounds who often make an appearance early in the morning! The large rooftop terrace on the top deck is for your own personal use and access to it is up a short flight of stairs leading directly from the dining terrace area. You can enjoy sunbathing here in complete privacy during the day and in the evenings it makes a wonderful spot to watch the sun go down and listen to the tropical sounds of the rustling palms and the tree frogs.

Very near to the fine dining restaurants of Barbados' West Coast, as well as more local bars and restaurants where you can sample some of the delicious Bajan dishes. Or why not enjoy alfresco wining and dining in Yellow Bird beneath the stars. Take your pick between the dining terrace or the rooftop terrace where you can sip your cocktails or even enjoy a BBQ.

Yellow Bird is very close to the amenities of upmarket Holetown as well as some of the most stunning beaches in Barbados. It comes with complimentary membership of the Sugar Hill Club and the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Beach Club.

In the apartment you will find all the modern conveniences you would expect including air conditioning in both the bedroom and lounge/kitchen. Maid service once weekly (more at extra charge). Alicia, my excellent property manager, can also arrange car hire, taxis, book tours, restaurants and organise pre-arrival groceries if required.

It is just a five minute drive to Holetown and local amenities. Car rental or taxis are recommended.

Perfect property that met all our expectations. It was very well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The management was excellent and very responsive when requests were made. A great place and perfect location to key points of interest on the island. If I had any negative comment would be the sun beds on the roof terrace are very uncomfortable and need cushions. Yes I would stay here again if I returned to Barbados.

If you're looking for a place away from home, this is it! The stay was warm, clean, comfortable & exceptional. It was all that I imagined it to be. It was close to friends & the family reunion event in Monkey Hill in the same complex. The hospitality was impeccable. I would highly recommend.

The grounds were lovely - well groomed and clean.The restaurant was a picture perfect locations and the food was good. Service was excellent.My unit was well decorated and had everything I needed in the kitchen.I loved an AC in both the bedroom and Living Room. Lovely to have a roof deck.Very fast responses from Judith and the property manager.I would highly recommend.Unit is up one flight of stairs. No elevator.

The aptly named”Serene Shores” was all that we could have asked for- what a beautiful home ! With ten family members there was plenty of space to gather for dinner and if needed, escape for a little private time.The oceanview and the beach itself was the best of any home we’ve stayed it! It had plenty of spaces to gather on the any of the three levels of decking.The house was very clean and well appointed! Beds were comfortable -owner was very responsive!.We will plan on staying there in the future!

Paradise in Yellow Bird

Very enjoyable stay in Sugar Hill. The resort itself is beautiful and there are 2 pools to use with one of them having fantastic views of the sea. The house itself was very clean and had a lovely balcony and rooftop to sit at. A 20 minute walk downhill to the main road where you can access the local buses which will take you up and down the coast to wherever you want to go

Lovely Property

We really enjoyed our stay at thus property, the layout of the property is great and we really liked the flexibility of the two outside terrace areas. Everything was exactly as described and we would have no hesitation in booking again.

Beautiful apartment and estate.

Great location overlooking pool. Roomy outside space with a sun deck on top was a bonus. Nice clean BBQ for outdoor dining. Lovely grounds to walk about. Infinity pool by the bar and restaurant. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. I would definitely return here and recommend.

Paradise found !

The condo was well appointed having everything we needed for our stay. The grounds and pools are magnificent. It’s just a short drive to the Fairmont beach club with its beautiful beach and amenities. The views from the terrasse are amazing. Highly recommended would definitely come back.

Another enjoyable stay

An ideal comfortable apartment for couples, based on Sugar Hill gated community. With a bonus of a private sun terrace if you don't want to walk a minute to the pool and the sun loungers there. The beach membership at Fairmount is the icing on the cake. The apartment is well provided for self catering, and the on-site restaurant and the many restaurants in Holetown just a couple of minutes drive away are a welcome alternative. A car is desirable for getting around although the joys of public transport are something to be experienced. The owner Judith and property manager Alicia are very responsive, especially since we stayed during Hurricane Beryl, keeping us informed of any issues that would affect us. Can't recommend Yellow Bird highly enough, and has become our go-to property when staying in Barbados.

Lovely Apartment

Fantastic apartment in a great location only few minutes drive from Holetown and beaches. Great communication with owner throughout process and would highly recommend for anybody wanting to visit Barbados. Use of 2 lovely pools at Sugar Hill available. Lovely balcony terrace at the apartment which was great space. Hopefully back next year!

Stunning Villa; Wonderful location!

This could not have been a more beautiful unit and villa grounds! The only downside is it's going to hard to top this! And then there's the nightly sounds of green monkeys and tree frogs, and tropical birds during the day; it was pure heaven! When (not if) it rained, we simply read on the covered veranda overlooking the gorgeous grounds. We stayed 2 weeks and had a blast! The Fairmont Beach Club is just down the road, as well as wonderful Bajan restaurants - out favorite was Juma's for dinners, and Simone's Beach Stand for lunch and takeout dinners. And just limin! Tennis was superb with Olley. So happy we were able to make this trip!

World-class stay

This was my second time staying at the property (Yellow Bird). This property is wonderful for so many reasons. It is the perfect place for a getaway. The grounds are spectacular and boast the most luscious nature and greenery, the facilities are stunning, and the estate is in a great location. The staff also make you feel welcome and safe. The property is clean, just as described, and the photos are accurate. Although it's difficult to capture the true beauty of Barbados and Sugar Hill in photos, these pictures do a pretty good job. I will most definitely be back. Thanks, Judith and Alicia, for a phenomenal stay!

The property was very lush with lovely gardens. We saw green monkeys when we first got to the Sugar Hill estate. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was beautiful with the private balcony and terrace. I look forward to coming back to the Yellow Bird apartment.
