If you`re travelling by car, one parking space is available per booking in the guesthouse`s rear car park. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. If the rear car park is full, time-restricted street parking is available nearby—please check local signage before leaving your vehicle.

Public bus services operate from nearby streets, while taxis and rideshare services are readily available, making it easy to explore Hobart and the surrounding region without needing to drive.

Edinburgh Guesthouse is a boutique guesthouse comprising nine private guest rooms spread across multiple floors. While each guest has their own private room, the property includes shared spaces such as the communal kitchen and, for some rooms, shared bathroom facilities.

As this is a shared guesthouse in Hobart`s CBD, you may occasionally hear noise from other guests using the common areas, moving through the hallways or arriving and departing, as well as some traffic noise from Macquarie Street. We ask all guests to respect one another by observing quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.

To help ensure the safety and security of our guests and the property, security cameras operate in the building`s common areas, including entrances and selected corridors. There are no cameras inside guest rooms, bathrooms or any other private spaces. These cameras are used solely for security, safety and insurance purposes.

Please note: We are currently undertaking renovations to several rooms within the guesthouse, primarily on the lower floor. As a result, you may see tradespeople coming and going during the day and hear occasional construction noise during normal working hours. We aim to keep any disruption to a minimum and appreciate your understanding as we continue improving the property for our guests.

Quiet hours are strictly observed between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am. During this time, please keep noise to an absolute minimum in your room, the hallways, communal kitchen, bathrooms and all shared spaces.
Please be respectful of other guests staying in the guesthouse. Avoid knocking on other guests` doors or attempting to enter any room other than your own.
If you use the communal kitchen, bathrooms or laundry, please leave them clean and tidy for the next guest. Cleaning products are provided for your convenience.
Wash, dry and put away your dishes after use. Please do not leave dirty dishes, food or rubbish in the shared kitchen.
Dispose of rubbish in the appropriate bins and help keep the shared areas clean and welcoming.
Please respect other guests` privacy at all times. Everyone is here to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the building.
Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight.
