"Greeted by a cheerful and friendly member of staff. Booked in and showed to our room, called the Collie room. A lovely picture of a collie dog on the wall and two collie dog mugs in the room. Cosy room with comfy bed. The only minor drawback was that there was no bedside lights which was slightly awkward for reading "

"My stay at the Shakespeare was short but will be remembered as a really good experience. I felt like a truly valued customer, everyone was so friendly and helpful.
The room was good and the bed was huge!! It was 2 lovely nights sleep, nice hot shower in the morning followed by a cooked breakfast. It really set me up for the day.
I would most certainly revisit and can recommend it for a good place to stay in Kendal."

We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal.
The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.

Dejlige ture kan gås i området og langs med floden. Lancasters gamle Castle er bestemt et besøg værd. "

"Arrived late evening and was met by a very friendly receptionist, who sorted out everything very quickly. The property is being upgraded and therefore has building going on, how's the room was of a really good standard and very clean. I was very impressed. The breakfast was good and had a good choice. Will use again and definitely recommend it."
