Discover Garz, an idyllic village in the Elbe-Havel-Winkel, a landscape conservation area. The Havel, one of the most beautiful rivers in Germany, flows past the village.
Garz is located on the edge of a 283 km2 polder area in which the Elbe and Havel floods can accumulate over a large area. It is the largest contiguous wetland area in Central Europe and an ideal resting place for migratory birds.
