Utopia Luxury Villa is a solar powered home excellently located at the capital of dairy Hatillo, Puerto Rico, with a population of 38,925 residents and 30,159 cows. This property has incredible views of Hatillo dairies from its spacious balconies. Quite the Puertorican experience. The villa is just a short drive away from excellent restaurant choices, amazing beaches, supermarkets, gyms, walking trails and almost anything imaginable!

The house was very comfortable for the entire family that joined. The pool was a plus. The area is a beautiful countryside. Nelson was very helpful and kind.

False Advertisement. Upon arrival, door lock broken, main door frame is open around the door, all bugs and mosquitoes come in, kitchen window screen broken, house full of mosquitoes, no hot water on main bathroom plus it was leaking water, soaked floor, laundry machines locked up in storage outside, it’s only for use of staff while it states house has laundry, 3 bdrm did not have blankets, pillow case missing, no hangers, closets, or hooks to hang up towels or wet clothing. No cabinets to place groceries, only two small drawers that only fit condiments size, no toaster which states it has one & it advertised hot tub jacuzzi which was not hot, it was a hydromassage jacuzzi, host changed after reporting false advertising. I spoke to host, he sent staff next day to bring blankets, pillow case and sent a plumber who fixed leak, but left without fixing hot water issue. Pics of loose door were taken and sent to owner. Did not fix issue. Third day, A/C on one bdrm stopped working and was leaking water, owner said he was sending someone, waited 3 hrs and no one showed up/called. Next day, administrator came to question issues, stood with a cell phone video recording conversation without permission and was very condescending instead of being apologetic for so many issues. We asked for a screw driver and stated we would fix the door lock, administrator said it wasn’t like that and walked away. I said I would report all the issues to VRBO so they emptied jacuzzi early next morning.

Very nice and modern stay for our family of 6! Plenty of space with everyone getting their own bathroom to use. Our host was very informational and helpful with the few questions we had. Liked how clean the pool was outside.

Pros--The house was clean on arrival. --It had plenty of room.--Rooms were welcoming with bottles of water. --The host himself did respond quickly. --The pool was nice as was the hydromassage jacuzzi. --The housecleaner was wonderful when she came to collect the used towels.--The house was located near a great coffee shop and not far from good restaurants.--Our grandchild enjoyed watching the fish.--Nice quiet location.Could be better--Texted the handyman and did not receive a response. --Washer and dryer facilities were not available. We specifically wanted these amenities, so it was unfortunate that we weren't able to use them. Other--When I requested more towels because ours were damp after several reuses, I was told there would be a fee. When I questioned it, they said they would not charge a fee. The towels were delivered with no fee as promised.

We traveled to Hatillo, for a small intimate wedding ceremony. If you are looking for a beautiful spot, away from the hustle and tourist area of San Juan, then Hatillo/Arecibo is the place you want to visit! The listing of this home is accurate with the photos. The home is gorgeous and everything was clean. The kitchen is full of all basic kitchen needs, should you want to cook in the home. We met with a caterer and a baker, and both were amazing and had the food delivered right to the house and even set up for us. The views, and the quiet hills of Hatillo with a short 12 min drive down the mountain to the beach are nothing short of beautiful, with several dairy farms, and loose chickens everywhere! Our neighbor is even a small dairy cow, whom we adopted and named her Clarabell for the time we were here. The only hiccups to this stay, the owner's office is in the garage, and could pop in from time to time, and that is not mentioned in the description of the property. Also, the pool guy showed up at 0700 after a day of travel and opened a very large noisy garage door. Thank goodness we were awake, and the owner had notified us a few hours prior. Also, Nelson and Miguel may be a little slow to respond at times, but none the less, they will get back to you! Just breathe and enjoy the island life. Some may travel for the "tourist traps", and not that San Juan isn't beautiful in its place, however, Hatillo/Arecibo have won our hearts! We will be back to visit!

Our stay at Utopia was truly wonderful. The house is comfortable, welcoming, and perfectly located. We traveled from Bayamón to Camuy for our son’s wedding, and choosing this place made the entire experience even more special.From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine kindness and respect. The team went above and beyond—organizing our rehearsal dinner with a chef, beautiful décor, and a lovely welcome cocktail. Everything was arranged exactly as we envisioned, and it exceeded our expectations.We are deeply grateful for the care and attention we received. Utopia became more than just a stay; it became part of a meaningful family celebration. We would gladly return if needed.

Proprty was as pictured some areas could use an update for the price. Owner should let people know before booking that he shows up to the property whenever he wants because his office is located on the property I believe in the garage area. Other then that great stay.

Nelson and Miguel were very responsive. We had a few issues but everything was resolved in a timely manner. The house is in the mountains. Very close to stores within a 5-10 minute drive. There is a bakery on the up the road about an 2 minute drive that had the best fresh baked bread and pastries. Our neighbors had a cow which was nice to see in the mornings. The views from the back balcony are breath taking.

The house is beautiful and in pretty good location to explore the island. The actual stay in the house needs more attention to detail. Walls were dirty, bathroom drains were full of hair (disgusting) we had to clean it ourselves, not good. The bathrooms did not have floor mats for getting out of the showers, no wash clothes to dry our hands or face. Kitchen did not have a sponge to wash the dishes. Second floor rooms floods with water from the rain and our luggage got wet (not good) we didn't even have access to the dryer to dry those wet items. I understand that we only rented for 4 nights but the flood should have never happened and wet our luggage. The bed sheets on the second floor bedroom were stained (disgusting). Some of the pillows were made from cushions, and the others super hard, could not get a good nights rest. The mattresses were not even mattresses they seemed more like a thick cushion but definitely not real mattresses. The outside area had cigarette buds there when we arrived in the rocks poolside. The pool was dirty with leaves, dirt and what looked like green mildew on the pool walls. The jacuzzi was low on water and very very dirty murky water. The barbecue wall was black from previous use. Not an inviting area to even want to put food to cook there. Sliding door vary hard to close, seems to be on the verge of breaking. I truly expected to have had a better experience for the price we paid. It's a shame for such a beautiful house. Do better for others

Very comfortable home with a great pool area in a quiet neighborhood. Great for large families or a group of friends. One of the rooms is detached and by the pool with its own bathroom which was great for our needs. While there are a few areas of the house that could use some improvements, the host is extremely accommodating and quick to respond, which makes up for any minor issues.

This home is extremely cozy and beautiful. The rooms were comfortable, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh water bottles in every room. The provided coolers were a lifesaver for our beach days. The only suggestion I have would be to add an AC unit to the living room, as it can get quite warm during the day, especially while cooking.

The place truly is a villa !!! it was better than the photos . I am a physician and cleanliness is a top priority! it was extremely clean ! The towels were soft and the best! The beds were so comfortable and made to perfection! The pool and outdoors were used daily. Felt safe in the area . Nelson, the host, was so responsive and answered any questions we had . He was able to take some of the kids to the airport and gave them a tour in the process that went above and beyond !! The set up of the home offers space, yet a family common area.. this is truly an amazing villa ! We will be back!!! 10/10!!

Our stay was amazing! Nelson the owner was amazing the best owner/host we could have asked for. The house was packed and stored with all that we needed to accommodate both adults and kids. The house look just as pictures. We had issues with loss of water the last two nights but nelson came with his workers and made sure the problem was resolve. He was very attentive and gave us a full itinerary of things nearby which was very helpful as well.

This property has everything you could need for any length of stay, and if it was lacking anything, Nelson took care of it. There is plenty of room, plenty to cook with and an amazing pool and spa to chill in. Hanging out with friends & family outside is so easy and comfortable. The air conditioners in the bedrooms make sleeping so nice & if you want an expert to take you and your group on a tour of almost anyplace on the island, Nelson does that - and at a great rate!! If we ever get back to Puerto Rico, we'll definitely come back!

2025 family trip

We stayed here April 2025. 8 kids ranging from 3-16 & 6 adults. There was plenty of space for everyone! Beds are so comfortable, plenty of towels for pool & showers. All essentials you need in the kitchen, jacuzzi felt amazing, there’s a basketball court on the side attached to the house that we didn’t even know about but was great to have. Bakery up the street is AMAZING! Only about 8 min drive to Walmart. Host was amazing and answered txts within minutes! Highly recommend! We will be booking here again in the future as well! Can’t say enough good things!

Utopia!!

Had a fantastic trip at the Utopia Villa! Nelson was so very attentive and gave us a list of local places to visit. Although the island lost power, Nelson did everything he could to help us stay comfortable. Our family loved the pool, the Rain Forest excursion (Nelson and his staff were excellent), and the various nearby beaches! The only suggestion we had was the lack of AC in the parts of the house. We’d definitely recommend the Utopia Villa to large families who want to see the authentic Puerto Rico!

Country feel/Close to Many places

Stayed for 1 week exactly (Tuesday to Tuesday).The house has a nice country feel and is in a great location—just a short 10–15 minute drive to beaches, restaurants, and stores. There's also a convenient bakery/gas station with a small store just 2 minutes down the road.The host was very responsive and even checked in during our stay, which we appreciated.That said, the house could use a deep cleaning now and then, especially the floors. Some minor updates like fixing small issues or replacing the toilet seat would go a long way in improving the overall feel.Overall, we enjoyed the stay and the peaceful setting, but a bit of upkeep would make the experience even better.

Best experience ever!

If you’re thinking about booking, DO IT! Everything was amazing from reserving the stay to checking out! We almost had to stay an extra night & Miguel was soooo accommodating! (Almost makes me sad that we didn’t stay!) planning our next vacation with this stay at the top of our list! Can’t wait to come back.
