Beautiful log home
My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The owner was very quick to respond to any of our questions and the communication at the home was very helpful with how to use things throughout the home. Definitely recommend this home!

Perfect rental!!!
This home was the perfect spot for our mini weekend vacation. Close to Cooperstown and so many other fun activities for the family. The owner Tom was very responsive to texts and emails on our arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked, linens and towels were also provided. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations! Thanks Tom for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great Cabin Experience
The house was out in the boonies but was to get into Cooperstown. If the weather was nicer we could have sat out on the front porch or the back patio. We were met when we arrived by Tom who showed us around the property. Kitchen was large and well equipped. Loved the wood floors and walls. Great cabin feeling. Didn't use the downstairs pool table and lounge area. Loved that we could use the washer and dryer to catch up on laundry. Master bedroom was large and had a great walk-in shower. Had a little trouble with the TV and finding channels. Perhaps a sheet of paper with operating instructions would help. Would recommend this property.

Friends Getaway
The property is just enough off the beaten path to give you the peace and quiet you are looking for but close enough to everything Cooperstown and the surrounding areas have to offer. Staying here leaves you a 5-10 minute drive to it all. Quiet, peaceful, well appointed property that offers everything you could possibly need on a trip away and Tom was immediately available if needed. We will be back!!!

Great house ; great location
The house was perfect and exactly what we wanted and as displayed online . Very comfortable and we had fun with the pool table. The front porch overlooking the valley and hills was lovely . Nice touches like both foam and down pillows and plenty of towels . The area is great, not too busy but close to lots of things from hiking and lakes to antiques and craft breweries . Tom was very communicative and helpful .

Great stay for all ages
We had a wonderful family weekend. The house is beautiful and welcoming and was just what we were looking for to enjoy a nice winter weekend away. We all enjoyed the game room with pool table and bar.

Great Weekend Away
Me and some friends rented the house for a trip to Cooperstown. The property had plenty of space and great amenities. The pool table and downstairs room was a nice place to relax. The outdoor porch overlooked the area and was nice and relaxing. Tom was a great host and would recommend this house to anyone looking to have a peaceful stay. Baseball HoF was just a short drive away, as well.

Cooperstown getaway with friends
We travel a couple of times a year with a group of friends and this was the nicest, cleanest house we’ve ever rented! We stayed off season with a group of three couples and one single. The downstairs game room worked out perfectly for a fourth bedroom. There was a lot of living space spread out really nicely and the house is definitely maintained very well. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would ever need and it was an easy drive to the grocery store and Cooperstown. We’d definitley rent again!

Beautiful home with all the amenities!
Wonderful stay! Comfy beds and very clean. Tom is always available... (eventhough we only needed to called him once), as everything is perfect! About 20 minutes to Cooperstown DreamsParks, but beautiful and easy drive!

Cooperstown Baseball Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the home. We found it to be exceptionally clean given that we have allergies and found no signs of dust. The house provided a rustic yet modern stay for us and was close to ball fields and the downtown area. We would definitely stay here again.

beautiful house in great location!
My family of 6 stayed at 42 North for 2 nights this Spring. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. Everything was comfortable. Nice TVs, some board games and a pool table kept everyone entertained in the evenings. The house is only a 15 minute drive from Cooperstown but is very secluded with no visible neighbors and lots of open space. The kids did NOT want to leave! The well water had a bit of a funny smell and the back patio needs some repair, but overall this house was great and we would definitely rent it again..

Family Weekend
My husband and I traveled from Colorado and my brother and his family traveled from Chicago. 42 North was the perfect house to relax and talk the hours away and it was so convenient to prepare our own meals. In the evening we would gather on the lower level and play pool, laugh and watch baseball. The perfect house for a get-away and only a few minutes drive to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Tom, the owner, was very responsive whenever we had a question. I highly recommend 42 North.

Loved it!
Brought my 90 year old grandfather up for a Christmas present to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame, along with my kids. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were perfect. There are also two living spaces, one with a pool table and fireplace.The two living spaces allowed us to spread out a bit. The home is in great shape and very welcoming.

Wonderful stay in Cooperstown!
Our stay at Tom's place was more than we could've asked for. He is an awesome host, meeting us once we arrived, gave us a tour, and informed us of all we needed to know when visiting Cooperstown. The house is beautiful and in a great location. We hope we can come visit Cooperstown again and would love to book another stay at Tom's place!

Amazing Time
My family and I (husband and 2 children ages 14 and 11) had an amazing time! The owner provides all the extras that you would typically need to buy at the grocery store. The cabin was very comfy and cosy yet very spacious! We already let the owner know we wanted to rent again over the summer months. The winter months are very nice also! Stayed Dec 29th to Jan 5th 😀 thank you so much we are so grateful!

A great weekend in New York State!
We loved the house! The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was large and had a great eat in area where we could hang out and have a casual breakfast. It also had a dining room which was great for dinner and board games. My older boys also enjoyed the large TV in the basement. Really so glad we stayed there instead of a hotel, would highly recommend it!

A fabulous home in the Cooperstown area, perfect for our group
"42 North" is one of the most impressive and comfortable homes I have ever rented. Our group of four were delighted with the spaciousness of the house, the quiet location, the decor, everything. And the amenities are almost too much to believe: Pool table, bar, two big TVs (both with surround sound), patio, grill, two bathrooms, beautiful dining area, and a fully accessorized kitchen. And maybe a quick 15 minutes or so to Cooperstown, no trouble at all. Friendly owners, simple instructions, Wifi, great rate. I hope I can figure out a reason to return.

Very clean and updated home.
Me, my husband and two friends stayed at 42 North for 4 nights in September. We had a really good time. The house was immaculate, beds comfortable, and lots of room to spread out. The house is about 20 minutes from Cooperstown but it’s a beautiful drive. We enjoyed the Hall of Fame and walking around town. Went on the glimmerglass boat tour which I highly recommend. Thanks Tom for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful experience.
42 North was close enough to travel quickly to Dreams Park yet far enough away to get some much needed quiet time in between games. The house is lovely, very comfortable. Tom was responsive if we needed him. Kind enough to ship a charger left behind by one of our guests. I would stay here again with no hesitation. Its not a basic rental. No extras are spared from the furniture to the linens. Only surprise we had was that there is another rental on the property ( garage apartment) we didn't know about ahead of time. No big deal still very quiet and private. Thank you Tom.

Very nice, well kept cabin in the woods.
The house was very nicely appointed and very clean when we arrived. The bathrooms were recently remodeled and very nice. The water is not public water, so it does have a little bit of a metallic odor to it, but it wasn't too bad. Tom was great to work with, very responsive and accommodating. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay while visiting Cooperstown. One thing just to mention that we weren't aware of prior to our stay - there is a 3 car garage beside the house that has an apartment above it that is also available for rent. We were instructed to keep the driveway/garage clear, but didn't realize why until we bumped into the other renter. Neither of us were aware that the other was also renting and utilizing the space. The house is located in the woods, and is dark - so just be aware if someone else is driving up the driveway - it's probably just the other renters!! Also the front steps up to the porch are a little challenging to navigate (they are railroad ties in a box with pebbles filled in) especially when carrying luggage in when arriving at night. Other than that, no complaints!!

We truly enjoyed our stay at 42 North! Tom’s home was more than we ever imagined. We felt so welcomed and at home in this house. Everything that you could possibly need is provided. It has all the quality comforts that we desired. Our son played at Cooperstown Dreams Park and it was only a 15 minute drive for us. It is not far from the city of Cooperstown. We visited the National Baseball Hall of Fame, drove around Lake Otsego and visited Glimmerglass State Park. The views from the house are absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and listening to the singing birds and seeing the lightening bugs at night. We also utilized the grille on the back patio. Our family also enjoyed using the pool table and watching baseball games downstairs. The rustic look on the main level is warm and cozy. We just loved everything about it. This Florida family would love to one day visit again!

Fantastic home!
Tom's house felt like home as soon as we walked in the front door. The house is in perfect condition and the amenities are first rate. We visited with 2 other couples and were so comfortable that we decided to order pizza and stay home one night enjoying the front porch, the pool table and the big screen tv .We highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting in the area.

A great, peaceful place with convenient short drive to Cooperstown
Tom has a wonderful location if you like nature and seeing the beauty of the mountains and terrain. Had five deer greet us behind the house the first evening. Beds are comfy, living room was awesome with music system and ability to have family game night with large beautiful table. Nice appliances and bathrooms. Would stay here again with family without a doubt. Tom responded to texts promptly and with sincerity.

Tranquil Beauty In The Mountains : A +++
This is a truly beautiful home located in a very peaceful setting. Home is fully equipped with everything you could possibly imagine from A-Z ! Meticulous upon arrival, as well as very spacious and cleverly decorated. We chose this location to be close to the Baseball Hall of Fame.. a dream for our 10 year old, baseball loving son, to experience. Perfect time to visit as there were absolutely no crowds at all which made the visit very enjoyable. Very simple and relaxing ride into the town of Cooperstown. Cute shops & family friendly restaurants. The Double Day Cafe was a big hit among our family. There were also quite a few geocaches in the area, as well as at Glimmer Glass State Park. Fly Creek Cider Mill was also a really fun place to visit & sample lots of goodies, including apple cider, apples & local wines. While the weather was certainly not spring like at all, we did enjoy quality family time hanging out by the fire place in the game room playing pool and just relaxing. Beds were very comfortable and everyone slept well because this home is so serene. Views are stunning, especially when snow covered. The stars in the sky were also amazing.. so very clear. We definitely appreciated the fact that this home was so clean and well cared for. Tom was more than a gracious host. Excellent communication and very quick responses to our questions. He clearly takes pride in this home & it shows in everything on this property. We are planning to return again in the Fall to further explore the beauty of the surrounding areas. Thank you to Tom for maintaining such a beautiful home !!

Tom, an excellent host/owner and person, has everything else covered at 42 North. This home is solid, immaculate, and thoughtfully equipped throughout the kitchen, baths, and living spaces with high end furnishings and the little luxuries you appreciate when you’re away from home. The setting is private, safe and peaceful. If life brings you to the Cooperstown/Oneonta area, treat yourself to a stay at 42 North; it’s a true gem.

First class vacation home
We very much enjoyed our mid-January stay. The home far exceeded our expectations... very clean, beautifully furnished, with everything we needed. Despite some significant snow during our visit, the driveway was promptly plowed and we were able to easily get out and drive to Cooperstown. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this home for others... no matter the season!

Great Property!
The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and a very quiet setting. Tom was great to work with. We were there while it was snowing and -11, it was great to have the fire place going and just enjoy the evenings when we would return from exploring the area. Great restaurants and breweries just a short drive away. We also visited Windham mountain for snowboarding and the spa which was about hour and half away but a beautiful drive. Would love to visit again in the fall or spring to enjoy the outdoors of the property.

This was my second time renting this home and I look forward to returning. Tom is a great host, very responsive and helpful. His place is so beautifully appointed and meticulously cared for. It's convenient to Cooperstown and area attractions and it has everything we needed. I'd come up simply to stay in the house, work, relax and enjoy family and friends.
