"It was convenient having a garage for our car and luckily our car is small, because it barely fit. Nonetheless, a great feature. The place was clean, quaint, and adequate for the two of us. It was decorated to feel very homey. I recommend this as an option to stay if you are in the Harrisburg, Shawnee National Forest area."

"Very friendly and nice people. They brought tomatoes and corn out of their garden for us and checked in on how we were doing and had lots of supplies in the fridge and on the table. Would recommend staying there anytime"

"The property and house was beautiful. My boys loved fishing in the pond and we loved sitting by the fireplace and the pond. The sunsets there are fantastic. The house was nice and functioned well for our family of 6. It was clean and had all the things in the kitchen and the house that we needed while we stayed there. We would love to come back again."

"If you’re looking for peace and quiet you found it. I sat out on the porch and just looked at the pond. Turned off the cell relaxed and enjoyed the view. The host was very accommodating. The home look just like the pictures and when I arrived the air conditioning was going which was great when your from California and not used to the hot sticky summers in Southern Illinois."
