This unit was clean, roomy nicely decorated and the staff was wonderful! The view of the ocean is fantastic. In fact, I'd say the black beach is just as gorgeous as Waiʻānapanapa State Park! If you can't get a reservation for that, just stay here!

The room was clean and had all the amenities we required. Location was beautiful next to the black beach. Price a bit high considering we only stayed for one night (700), but I guess it’s understandable considering the location and limited availability of rentals. I would highly recommend this property and would consider staying there in the future.

Anniversary trip!

Our trip was amazing! Loved our stay here! Everything was just as described and 5 minutes from our favorite snorkeling spot at Honolua Bay! Will stay here again!

Senior trip

A true Hawaiian experience! This was such a beautiful place! You can't beat the black sand beach right off the back of the property. We had our own private covered porch with spectacular views! Our stay was well equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Paradise found!

I wish I would’ve booked this oceanfront gem for longer than one night. Our overnight stay was the closest to paradise we’ve found. So quiet, private & serene with the sound of waves crashing all night long, with a fresh ocean breeze, & beautiful views from the bed, living room & private patio. If I could own this, I would!

Beautiful space and property!

We ended up arriving about 1/2 hour before the check in time, but got lucky because our room was ready. The woman who checked us in was gracious and welcoming, and the room and grounds were beautiful! We stayed overnight to minimize road time each day on the Hana highway, and it was worth it! The ranch restaurant nearby was excellent for dinner!

Gorgeous property

We stayed in Hana for 2 nights. Beautiful accommodations - care of the rooms, property were top notch. Never got tired of the view from our corner unit! Rocky, black sand beach right next Hana Kai was fun to explore and unit was well taken care of with classy decor, well stocked kitchen and extremely comfortable bed! Nothing like sleeping with the windows open and feeling the island breeze and hearing the crashing waves. Would most definitely stay her again.

Got in late and was a little confused on where the room was but when we found it, what a treat! This place far exceeded our expectations, the bed was comfy, the futons were all made with sheets and ready for our sleepy kids, and the sound of the waves crashing on the rocky black sand beach outside was indescribable! The only thing better then falling asleep to the waves was walking up to the stunning sunrises over Hana Bay and the private lanai that was almost as big as the whole condo! I could stay here a thousand times and never tire of it. 10/10, no notes!

Beautiful views and super cute place!

We loved the view of the ocean! It's easy to access, great parking, and the employees were super nice and helpful! The kitchen was very well stocked and organized. The shower was amazing! The best part, though, was opening the windows at night and listening to the waves crash! The deck is super comfy for sunrises and coffee in the morning! Beach towels were provided which was nice. We played the board games that were provided. Nice touch!!

Views and the soothing ocean

Blown away by this place and the view. Quiet, multiple beach access nearby. Loved hearing the black sand beach rocks get swept back into the ocean while we were walking along the shore. No TV no AC no problem. Huge windows, sit inside or outside. Loved the chairs on the lanai. A few places to eat around town including some food trucks. 2 general stores had most everything you could need. Did I mention Hana Highway? Stop at a few food stands and be patient on the road there. Nice National Park Access too.

Wonderful place!!!

We loved our stay at this rental. We stayed in Hana two nights so that we were not rushing to see everything on the Road to Hana and to allow us to hike the Pipilwai Trail early in the day. And we are soooooooo glad we did. We loved everything about the rental. The view and lanai were incredible. Sleeping to the ocean waves out your window was magical. The two day beds were perfect for our daughters (8 and 11) and the king bed was incredibly comfortable. We only cooked breakfast and lunch but the kitchen was perfect and well stocked. Staff was super friendly and check in was easy. It was also very clean. While not a swimming beach, our girls got in the water both days to splash in the waves and it was great to have right out the door. The koi ponds were super fun also. Hana is such a wonderful town we are glad we got to experience it a couple of days and would definitely recommend this rental to others.

Better than expected

It was a little on the expensive side for us, but it exceeded our expectations and I would stay here again short term. Wonderful sunrise and close to our favorite Hana beaches. Beware - state park requires reservations now.

This property is a dream oceanfront cozy home. Tastefully decorated. The beautiful beach is steps down from this property. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Nice property, bad renters above.

Floors are loud. Heard upstairs kids until 9pm every night and before 6:30am. No parental control even though signs ask for quiet and no stomping. Requested front desk to contact them twice. Apparently they didn’t..... unable to really relax at all which was why we selected the location.

Nice place to stay in Hana

Overall nice place to stay. We enjoyed the outdoor space, decor, and overall relaxing environment. Nice view to wake up to from the bed. Two days was a good amount of time to spend in Hana. Pricy for what you are getting ($350/night for what is essentially a studio with a curtain to separate the bedroom area from the living space) but accommodation options are limited in Hana. One piece of advice- plan to eat dinner early ( or bring supplies if you are staying longer) or be disappointed. We ate at both of the only two restauraunts that were open in the evening (ate about 6:30 I belive, can't remember how much earlier the other places closed) and both were very overpriced and not particularly good. The national park and waterfalls/ bamboo hike were a nice activity, about 45 mins away.

Gorgeous views and location, clean and comfortable.

My sister and I really enjoyed Hana Kai. The views are spectacular, room was very clean and the furniture was upscale and stylish. Very friendly staff. Little details like the fresh picked local flowers, seashells on the bedside tables, bamboo curtain rods and ready-made ice cubes in the freezer make this place a true gem. Highly recommended!
