"We stayed in a suite in the palace tower. There was unsupervised construction happening on our floor for the last 3 days. It was load and completely unsafe. We were traveling with our kids and they left out chain saws, nails everywhere, hammers and tools with no workers actually there. There was no warning signs, the front office didn’t let us know there would be construction, and when I told the front office manager he had no clue about it. Additionally, the put us in the wrong room initially...
"Vi var på bryllupsrejse og havde valgt Hawaii. Vi startede på dette hotel. Vi havde bestilt værelse med havudsigt og ønsket kingsize bed. Da vi kom til hotellet havde de desværre kun værelser med 2 Queensize beds hvor vi knap kunne være i en sammen.
Værelset var ikke klar til tiden men det var klar lige om 5 min. Vi var ved skranken 5 gange den næste halvanden time inden det var klar. Dårlig start.
Samtidig vil jeg vove den påstand at værelset vi fik var et værelse med begrænset havudsigt. De...
"This is the best hotel that we have stayed at. The amenities, staff, rooms, the spa, the adult pool, the food, the beach…all 5 stars! Swam with manta rays and did the longest running luau that was well done. Have been coming here since the 80’s and it only keeps getting better. We love the Mauna Kea and the Big Island of Hawaii."

Lovely grounds , spa is great with hot tub and sauna that you can reserve for private time.
Birds can be noisy but you get used to them and actually look forward to hearing and seeing them around the property. "
