"The property is in a beautiful location with access to a beautiful beach. Gardens/pathways are well maintained.
The spa is excellent.
Small problem areas are - teapot in room still full of old tea/rust colored water in the kettle/wooden strip above the lounge curtain fell off/dinner was mediocre (risotto was terrible - stodgy lump)/back of house area behind our villa had garbage lying around.

The property is underrated, from the rooms with outside showers, amenities and the game roaming around the property and lastly the trail within the property offers a great opportunity to walk or run for relaxation and reflection, we were pleasantly surprised by all of this.
The only bad thing we noticed was the odour in the room at times, it smelled like blocked drain or sewage."
"This is a hotel we first went to 55 years ago. It remains rustic but is in very good order and gives you a wild coast experience without useless frills, preserving the very real touch with the South African beach experience outside the high rises and fancy hotels and eateries.
It is simple but very real and honestly stress free, staff is high service and amenable without being servile and plastic.
