Fun 4-bedroom with 80 feet of lake front on the Greatest Sacandaga Lake

Legit #LakeLife launchpad for your friends and family, with 80 feet of full lake frontage. Our 4-bed/2-full-bath house has been a labor of love over the past few years, and we think you’re going to love hanging here on the Great Sac. Chill on the deck, fire up the grill, or zone out staring at the lake. You can do it all here.

Whether it’s summer, spring, fall, or winter, there’s always plenty to do around these parts.

We’re just a mile from the Town of Day boat launch, making getting boats, snowmobiles, or ice-fishing gear on and off the lake a breeze. And getting to the lake right in front of the house is a snap. Just a few steps up and down, and you’re golden. No 4-wheeler or helicopter needed to get you back and forth from house to lake.

We also have a mooring we can make available for an additional cost.

Summertime gives you easy access to any and all lake activities, plus local attractions like the rail trail bike path and whitewater rafting. Fall serves up major leaf-peeping and hiking opportunities. Winter gives you a sheet of ice as far as you can see. Skate, snowmobile, fish—or leave the lake behind and hit the slopes.

And spring? Well, spring is really just about wishing it were summer already.

Adorable Northville, home to the world’s oldest 5 & 10, is a quick jaunt over the hills. There you’ll find fantastic food, a life-saving Stewart’s, antique shops, and a secret church thrift store that’s only open on Saturday mornings.

Oh, and Saratoga is about 40 minutes away via the most scenic-y route ever seen.

As for the house? It’s cute. It’s not fancy, and it still hangs on to some of its vintage charm. If you’re a Michelin-rated chef looking for a quiet spot to test some new recipes, I promise this is NOT the place for you. We have the basics.

The fridge is new, though. Beer stays cold, which is what 97% of that fridge usually goes to anyway.

One bathroom has been recently redone, and the other has had some sprucing up. The bedrooms are all cute and will have comforters and blankets, but no sheets. That’s on you.

We have a large TV up in the loft, a smaller screen downstairs in the living room that faces the lake, and another TV in the bedroom that’s midway up the staircase. We’ve also got the interwebs up and running for anyone so cursed as to have to work while at the lake.

We have a healthy collection of board games and a little over an acre of woods to explore behind the house. There’s a cute little creek that runs through the backyard and a big, awesome one across the street that empties into the lake, making it the local fishermen’s go-to secret spot. (Which I guess is slightly less secret now.)

A few things to note:

We are on a well. And, well, that means the water supply is not endless. We’ve never run out of water, even with guests visiting, but if you’re showing up with teenagers who first refuse to shower and then decide to never get out...you might need to set some time limits.

There are stairs involved, no matter which way you slice it. Getting into the house requires some stepping up, and two bedrooms plus the loft require a voyage up the staircase.

You’ll need to bring your own linens and towels. Full disclosure: ADHD mom here who can’t keep track of enough linens and towels for my own family. You don’t want to depend on me for anything even laundry-adjacent.
