"We had a wonderful stay here! A perfect size stay for 3 friends getting away for a day at the spa and a day shopping and eating around town. The sidewalk picks up right before the accommodation so it's a really nice walk to the center of town! Easy check-in and had everything we needed. "

"34 State is simply a gorgeous 18th century (?) home furnished and decorated with impeccable period style! Tasteful and elegant guest suites, great linens, wonderful help-yourself amenities in a thoughtfully stocked pantry. All of this steps away from the storybook lakefront village of Skaneateles. Just a delight for a weary traveler!"

"Don’t let the location fool you. It looks to be outside of Skaneateles and technically that is true, but it is 5 minute drive next to the lake with beautiful homes, etc. The building itself is beautiful, old but with a lovely aesthetic. It feels homey, but one that an interior designer designed. From board games to an ice machine at the ready while in front of the fire…it was delightful. "We planned a family trip and thought it would be easier to stay at a hotel instead of having so many family members in one household. I am so pleased that we did so, even though it was an additional expense it was worth every penny. The kids had a blast swimming, they enjoyed telling the staff members about their day, and receiving a positive response back. Most important having breakfast for free (12 and under eat for breakfast free with a coupon the Holiday Inn provided us).The kids thought...

One items of concern was the bathroom shower floor didnt have the safety trips on the tub floor making it very slippery I put a towel on floor as to not slip and fall BUT EVERYTHING WAS GREAT OTHERWISE"

"We are nonsmokers... our room was next to someone who smoked. Smoke came through the bathroom vent. Also, wish the hotel provided microwave food/sandwiches on site, because restaurants aren't nearby. Otherwise, enjoyed the hotel.... staff, breakfast."
