The Space:

Located down Fort Morgan Road, this condo at Gulf Shores Plantation features on-site golfing at Kiva Dunes, a clubhouse, and nearby dining.



This condo is located on the sixth floor. The complex has two indoor hot tubs, sauna, steam room, an on-site library to borrow a book, grills, tennis courts, putting green, outdoor pools, coin-op laundry facility, and an on-site restaurant to grab a quick snack or drink.



As you walk into the condo, the primary bedroom suite is to the right and the dining area is to the left. The primary bedroom suite has a balcony access, a TV, and an attached bathroom.



The dining area has plenty of seating and opens up to the living area and a fully stocked kitchen on your right. The kitchen has everything you need to cook or bake a meal during your stay. The living area has comfortable seating, so you can relax and watch the TV or look out the window to the balcony access and see the waves crashing along the white, sandy shoreline. Free WiFi is available throughout. There is a sofa bed in the living area.



Want to go sit on the beach? There are chair/umbrella rentals onsite, and a few in the condo for your use and enjoyment.

The security Gaurds were very helpful. There was an indoor pool that had a kiddie pool attached. It had a beach view.The only thing that could have made it better was Sassy Bass was closed at this location at our stay. Staff needs to update signage about Sassy Bass.

We have stayed at this resort for 5 Thanksgivings, and have a wonderful experience each year. This condo was perfect for our family five. The kitchen was equipped enough for us to cook Thanksgiving dinner. We did not have a blanket in master bedroom, after making Vacasa aware, they remedied the situation and brought us a blanket and bedspread. Overall, we had an excellent stay once again.

They texted me saying the condo was ready early. But we still didn’t get there till the 4:00 check in time. There were no comforters on the beds. No blankets in the condo. And no full size towels. We called and they had housekeeping bring us a garbage bag full of towels and two sheet like spreads. Not even as thick as a normal bedspread. We had to go purchase comforters from Dollar General. The amenities of the complex are very dated and not all in good condition. Parking is 35/vehicle.

Because of the kitchen i chose to cook. The place could use a pizza pan, a good plastic spatula and maybe a few other kitchen essentials. I bough tinfoil because of the lack of pans and i chose to leave it in case someone else made my mistake. Also bring your own coffee filters!! However a napkin does just as well. Overall this was a wonderful place to stay and we will be booking here again.

This condo needs attention

The condo was dirty! The floors needed a thorough cleaning, the couch and recliner were dirty, and the walls need a new coat of paint. The ceiling fan/light was operated by an extension cord that had to be plugged in to work and the chain attached to the extension cord was full of dirt and dust. Also, the fan in the bathroom did not work. The rental agency that I booked through reached out to me and asked if we were pleased upon check in and I responded with no. They said they would reach out to me by phone so I could explain but I never received a call. The location of the condo was nice but that is about the only thing I liked about this stay.

Nice area away from the crowds! This unit could have had better kitchen stock such as a kid friendly glasses, spatula and medium to larger pots with lids. We like to eat in!

The ocean, beach and pool areas we Amazing! I am only giving it a 3 due to cleanliness of our condo. There was someone’s hair stuck to the bathroom wall, balcony was disgusting your feet were black immediately from walking out on it. The only carpet in the place needs to be vacuumed badly!! Also, no one can deliver to the property and it’s hard to find what location to call to see if they deliver there. But, if it were cleaner it would totally be a 5! Beach was AMAZING, it was soft white sand instead of the shell beach we stayed by last year. A mile or 2 makes a huge difference in the sand quality.

Great experience just a couple of issues

Overall everything we great just a couple of comments. The linens and blankets were definitely showing their age. Pull out sleeper not bad but far from "comfortable" Biggest issue was on the morning of checkout we were still in the room @ 9am when housekeeping comes in without even knocking. Checkout is listed as 10am. This scared my granddaughter.

The community was great. Great Ocean views and easy access to the beach. The security gate workers did not offer information on where you were to be and the buildings are not numbered, so it was confusing which was ours.

Size was fine, but a lot of other issues

When we arrived at condo there was only one badge in a lanyard hanging on wall. Sheets were dirty and didn’t get changed till following day. Unit was filthy and didn’t have items it said it would have. Refrigerator door wouldn’t stay closed. Also after service staff left, our door wouldn’t lock when leaving for remainder of our stay, and couldn’t get anyone to fix it. Very dangerous for a vacation rental to not lock when occupants are gone.

We loved the location. Small town feel but close to Gulf Shores so anything we needed would be accessible. The view was beautiful. Couple of issues. The place looked clean but did not smell clean. Would have loved to have walked into a place that smelled like someone had just cleaned it. The floors were bad so I did reach out to Vacasa to let them know and they sent someone over the next day to redo that. There were no extra pillows for the pull out sofa but Vacasa resolved that as well. The beach chairs mentioned in the listing are no longer there & there was no remote for the Master Bed TV but the living room remote would operate both TVs so we made do. Not Vacasa’s fault but the indoor hot tub was out of order and for some reason the indoor and outdoor pools were closed 2 or the 3 days we were there.

Beach Getaway

Great location-some construction nearby and hot tubs were closed but overall good value. We had a few minor issues-could not find the bed pillows for the sleeper sofa, one of the beach chairs was broken and there were a few gnats. Otherwise, we were pleased with the cleanliness and loved all of the storage hooks, shelves, etc in bedrooms and bathrooms.

Cute place on the beach

Cute place and clean! Plenty big enough for our family. We enjoyed the view and proximity to the beach! Our only issue was the AC was broken when we arrived. It was difficult to contact Vicasa property management but once contact was made they had it fixed the next day by lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great little condo, with a beautiful view. The only thing I would change is update are the pillows. They were flat and it took several to get comfortable. Would totally stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

My wife and I stayed here over the week of the 4th of July. Everything was great. Steps away for the beach(and pools). The condo was perfect for us. I personally loved the patio furniture. Waking up every morning and drinking my cup(or 3) watching the sunrise on the patio was AMAZIhG! We brought our own beach chairs but found out that the ones that you supply were so much better then ours, thank you for having those. We got there a few hours earlier then the 4pm check in and found that the condo was ready and perfect inside. We looked forward to hopefully booking our unit next year when(if) we come again!

Great location and quiet condo. Some issues with one bathroom shower turning it on and off. I did not get any information from Cacasa or VRBO on the site about the unit. I did not know where to go or who to ask about the lock box that had information about the condo.
