    About Summer Salt:
    Summer Salt stands proudly along the coastline, offering a welcoming atmosphere with plenty of space for everyone. The open floor plan features a cozy living area with comfortable sofa sets, one of which converts into a queen-sized bed, providing direct access to the balcony where you can enjoy water views. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for family meals, complete with a standard coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, microwave, blender, and a refrigerator with an ice maker. The dining area seats four, with an additional four chairs available in the kitchen for extra convenience.

    This beautifully designed home features a main floor master bedroom with a luxurious King-sized bed, private balcony, and en-suite bathroom, along with two folding beds conveniently located in the closet for extra sleeping space for unexpected guests. Upstairs, you'll find spacious additional bedrooms and well-appointed bathrooms, ensuring everyone has their own personal retreat. With ample space and modern amenities, this home is ideal for families or groups seeking comfort and convenience, just moments away from the area’s best attractions.

    Enjoy relaxing in the private fenced pool after a day at the beach, or fire up the private gas grill located at the carport for a delicious outdoor meal. For more outdoor fun, take advantage of the volleyball net (volleyball not provided) or gather around the fire pit in the evening (wood not provided) for a cozy night under the stars.

    Summer Salt is also conveniently located across the street from the Waves Shopping Center, home to a convenience store, S&S Seafood, an ice cream shop, and The Beach House Kitchen and Cocktails restaurant.

The house really nice and in an amazing location. No issues with the house everything was in order and worked. Balcony had an amazing view. There was plenty of room for the entire family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bender Realty is Absolutely the Best. House was perfect and clean. Kitchen is the best stocked we’ve ever seen. We had a problem with our microwave and within the hour they had us another delivered. They make sure your stay is as perfect as can be. The pool was perfect and the close proximity to the beach is awesome. Thank you Bender for our Awesome house and our first visit to Gulf Shores. We are already planning our trip for next year. Hopefully the house will be available.

Family beach vacation

The beach house was great. Beach was a short walk across the street. We used the pool each day as windy days had the beach closed with double red flags. The Waves store, Beach House Kitchen and cocktails and Island ice cream and treats were visited often being as they are across the street. The whole family had a great time,

Great house and location

Incredible location just across the street from the beach. The pool was fun too. The house was comfortable and had a blender, coffee pot, and a nice charcoal grill. The bedrooms were clean and had nice linens. Would recommend

Great Location and Away from Crowded Areas

This was a great house for our two families. The location was hard to beat - great ocean views from balcony, nice pool and deck area with plenty of sun, campfire pit for s'mores, easy walk across the street to the wonderful beach (far enough from busy crowds even during Spring Break). Waves grocery/liquor store across the street had everything we needed for food and supplies. Great seafood at S&S Seafood Market across the street too! So happy with our stay!

We had a wonderful stay. Just needed one more bathroom to accommodate our group.

Overall a good experience. Just wish there would have been a full bathroom on the first floor for my parents who are in their 70’s.

First Family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was great. This was our first family vacation with our kids and grandparents. We had everything to cook with and wash our sandy clothes in. We really enjoyed our stay. The company texted me making sure everything was ok and if anything needed our attention. We requested an early check in and we got it as well. “Hope” was also very helpful when we were planning our trip. She gave me all the information I needed and made me feel comfortable.

Wonderful 1st trip to Gulf Shores

The house location to beach, private pool, and condition of the house did not disappoint. We would stay here again. We did have an issue with one of the toilets. One quick call to Meyer and the maintenance guy (William, super nice) was over within the hour to fix it.

Nice house, cold pool

The house was great, in a great location and so close to the gulf. The pool however, was a big disappointment. It was too cold to use during our entire stay. My 3 teen boys were very disappointed, as was I, especially for the price we paid. The owners need to provide a solar cover at a minimum, but obviously a heater is preferable.

Awesome!

I don’t typically leave reviews but we loved this house. There were 8 of us and it was set up so that we weren’t all on top of each other. Very clean on the inside. Probably the first beach house I’ve ever been in that didn’t have sand everywhere before we even got there. The pool was nice and clean. We did have an issue with the ladder from the previous guests but vacasa got it fixed for us same day. The only other issue we had was the upstairs a/c stopped working because the drain was clogged and tripped it off. But again, vacasa got the issue resolved same day. If you’re looking for a house that’s clean, close to the beach, and a grocery store/ seafood store/ice cream shop, and has a pool this is the one!

Great location but house needs some TLC

Upon arrival from a 13 hour drive we were disappointed to find cigarette butts and trash spread all outside the exterior of the house. Fire pit was full of cigarettes that had blown everywhere, balconies had half empty beer cans and water bottles, pool had used glow sticks all over the deck and inside the pool. The inside had been cleaned but the bathrooms needed attention. The management co offered to send someone to clean but we had already cleaned it up. The couch was broken too. That being said after we got over the initial disappointment we had a great week. The positives: Close to the beach- easy walk Nice open concept living area with plenty of seating Well stocked kitchen Pool was nice perk to cool off in after the beach Convenient store and restaurant across the street The location was close to everything but is on a busy street with a fire depart. directly behind it that would go out on calls at all hours.

The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots pan dishes etc. The pool was nice. Plenty of deck chairs for everyone to use. One of the recliners in the living area would not recline. The internet worked the first and second day. Then went out on Monday. Contacted the rental company and was instructed to contact the provider directly after finally talking to some one I was told it would be the 28 th of July before they could get to it, I told them that was to late. Wasn’t happy that I had to call the provider myself. The rental company did send out their repair person and he tried all the same things we did. The rental company called to check if it was still out and it had actually come back on, they offered to give me a gift card to a coffee shop if I needed to do some work. I declined the offer. It went back out later that evening and basically was off the rest of our trip. They called I think Thursday to see if it was out and I told them yes. And that I really didn’t want to have to call the provider again. I didn’t understand why that was my responsibility. I used my hot spot on my phone to get some work done but two of the TV’s would not work without internet or at least we could not get them to work. The other 2 were connected to a dish. Other than the internet the trip was good.

Wouldn’t stay again

I wish I had read the reviews prior to renting. Burs all in the carpet. Bugs in and around stove. Beer cans left around the pool area and playground. The house needs a serious deep clean. Wasn’t dusted or vacuumed, the counters had dirt/debris on them. The house shook a lot. Pretty tight for 9 people. Only one bunk bed which was single sleepers. 3 trash bins completely full and smelling upon arrival. No beach access as the street has homes aligned up and down it. Sits right next to the fire station, like in the backyard. Got a text the day of stating if the property was cleaned early we could check in early, as I didn’t realize the time change I was hopeful. We arrived at 1:40 no cleaning crew and waited until 4 nobody ever came. Another person in our party arrived a day prior and said they drove by to check out the property and the beer cans and trash was there like they were upon our arrival so I’m pretty sure no cleaning crew had been there in at least two days before check in,, anyways early check in isn’t promised but they shouldn’t tell people if the cleaning crew gets done early you can get in early,, as there was no cleaning crew the day of from 1:40-4. Good-guest services quickly responds, has beach:pool toys, gulf shores is beautiful

Housecleaning could use some training

The house itself had a nice layout and feel… but to tell you what the unpleasant things is, is to tell you that the musty old dirty smell coming from the lower stairs from being closed up all the time, was nasty. There were dirty spots in places that have not been attended to in a very long time. Would have been nice to come into and fresh smelling atmosphere, there was none. You would do well to replace wooden furniture like dressers, night stands, chest of drawers, end tables and coffee tables in living room… they were dirty and worn. Couch could use some deep upholstery cleaning. You would also do well to replace carpets with laminate or tiles… or at least deep clean the carpet more often… there were sand spurs stuck in the carpet in which we found by walking barefoot on it. We were told that our pool could not be heated, but on the day we left my son-in-law found where it could have been heated by a touch of a button. We know this because he is very knowledgeable in things of this nature, therefore being too cold to utilize the pool and finding out the morning we were leaving that we could have so enjoyed having our own private pool and something we paid good money to enjoy… I am beyond livid due to this issue. But to say something nice… just to look at this vacation home, with the open concept and decor… it was livable.

Nice relaxing stay, good house overall

Our family of five just returned from a week spent at this house, Summer Salt. Overall we were happy with nearly everything. The location is extremely convenient to the beach, access is across the street and a couple houses down. Very easy to run back over to the house to use the restroom, refill beverages, get a snack, etc. The street this house is on was rather busy throughout the day, but didn't really cause us any issues. The house is on a corner lot, and the side street connects to the parking lot of a few businesses across the way. The house is also next door to a fire station, and we experienced a few calls while there. We didn't find any of this problematic, but this was during the pandemic and rather chilly weather in March... so it could be more of an issue with bigger crowds during Summer months. One thing that could have been better was the upkeep of the outdoor yard area. There is a volleyball net set up, but the net itself is in pretty bad shape, and the sand was full of weeds and trash. They should really send someone over to spend a day pulling weeds and cleaning up the area, it just wasn't someplace any of us wanted to spend time at. Regarding the pool, this was mostly good. Just be aware it is an above-ground pool, so it's all one (fairly shallow) depth, and there aren't steps to get in and out of it. The only issue we had with the pool was our own - it just wasn't warm enough to swim in until the end of the week. If you are going to visit in March, then I'd suggest finding a place with a heated pool. This house did not have that advertised, so that was our fault. But, we did actually find that there is a pool heater here, it just doesn't work (would not power on). I called the management company to ask what was up with the heater, and was told that the house wasn't advertised as having a heated pool. Fair enough, I suppose. Inside the house, things were good. Parts of the house are definitely starting to show their age, things like wood trim around doors, switches, and shower heads are looking a bit beat up, but still functional. There is no exhaust fan in the master bathroom, so we had to leave the door open so it wouldn't fog up too bad. There are separate thermostats for downstairs and upstairs. Kitchen was stocked with a ton of dishes and cookware. Stovetop was cracked, but still worked. Beds were comfortable enough, and plenty of blankets available. Everything was clean when we arrived. WiFi was decent.
