THE HOME

Multi-level craftsman-style home set high in the redwoods and firs on the Mendocino coast. Vaulted wood-plank ceilings, walls of windows into the forest, and a layout built for groups who want movie nights, game-table rematches, and quiet reading corners at the same time.



LIVING AREAS

The upstairs living room runs along picture windows with built-in bookshelves, deep seating, red papasan chairs, and a wall-mounted TV. A window AC unit keeps this room comfortable on warm afternoons. A decorative brick fireplace (warmed by an electric heater) anchors the corner, and a slider opens to the deck.



KITCHEN & DINING

Fully equipped for real cooking: oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and full cookware in a skylit kitchen with sage-green cabinetry, glass-block backsplash, and an angled island with seating for three. The dining table seats up to eight beneath its own wall of glass.



GAME ROOM

The Neighborhood:

Moonrise Forest sits in the forested hills above Gualala on the Mendocino coast, just north of The Sea Ranch — redwoods out every window, with the ocean minutes away by car. Stock up at Surf Market, grab coffee at Trinks Cafe, and explore Gualala Point Regional Park at the river mouth for bluff trails and beach walks. Sea Ranch trails, Anchor Bay beaches, and the Point Arena Lighthouse are all within an easy coastal drive — enough day-trip variety for a full week with kids or grandparents in tow.



Getting Around:

Gualala is about 2.5 hours north of San Francisco via Highways 101 and 1, or roughly 1.5 hours from Santa Rosa — the coastal stretch of Highway 1 is part of the drive. A car is essential for groceries, beaches, and trailheads. Free parking on premises plus a guest EV charger. Cell service is limited along this part of the coast; download offline maps before you drive up.
