We are very glad Rhonda enjoyed her stay at Casa Vecchia di Nozzole and that overall all went well. But we are very disappointed in understanding she felt kind of pressured for collecting the payment of the tourist tax and the wine consumption. She was asked to meet our house manager at check out as it is our practise, but she didn't want to, as she was on a hurry to leave. Bottles of wine displayed in the shelves inside the house are for our guests to buy and consuming without having to ask or going to the cellar and buy. The wine on display in the house with a price shown, has to be paid like any other items or service. We are wine producers, we sell wine. We do offer a bottle or more, depending on the number of people, the day of their arrival. We usually meet our guests at check out because, besides saying goodby and ask if they need help with anything, we must make an invoice for payment of what was consumed or bought during their stay. Wine or extras. The tourist tax is a tax that all councils in Italy apply to tourists and that we must pay to the council. We pay what we collect. In the city of Florence it is charged from €5 to €10 per day per person depending on the structures. Being a tax which is calculated by person and by night it is preferable not including it in the rental price, this being subject to variation. Regarding the check in, we are actually valuating whether to leave a key for late arrivals. However, we like our guests to be welcomed and instructed in all the functionings and give all the necessary information and recomendations for a pleasant stay, checking-in in person ensures that our guests won't be disturbed the next day. We thank Ronald for his comments especially for pointing out that this is not a luxury hotel. It is an old building but stylish refurbished and with the assistance of our staff we regularly take good care of the property. If it were completely modernized of course the price would be different.

We thank Christoph for his appreciation of the house and location and we will take note of his suggestions. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that plastic glasses are to be used in the pool area. We do not have plastic plates, but milk glass plates. Regarding the wine glasses, we apologize, it was our mistake not to double-check the number since some previous guests had broken some. But we spoke various times, why didn't they ask for more? We would have provided what was needed and we certainly do not run short of wine glasses (the easiest thing to replace for us!! since we are wine producers). Guests' collaboration is very much appreciated in communicating what is that they need to make their life easier while on holiday.

With George and Nikki was love at first sight! Even long before with their clear, precise, and kind e-mails...they are family to us now. Oliva adopted them because they understand and appreciate, plus they have a great sense of humor!! 2 weeks went too quickly, with close family first and then with good old friends. Nice tours, dining al fresco, and lots of drinks with our wine looking at the sunset! Oliva in particular feels as if they became very close and we all wish they could have stayed more... Wonderful great people, our favorite guests!!!! let's hope we are going to see each other again..... We are very happy to read they had a great holiday and stay at our house!

We thank John and his very nice family from the East Coast. How incredible that we had friends in common, the world is a small place! It was great fun sharing comments on the house and the decoration. It is beautiful to show how things have been thought and to see the positive reaction of our guests in reference to the house. Our guest Christina and her wonderful husband celebrated their wedding anniversary at our Casa Vecchia di Nozzole. It makes us happy to see that our guests appreciated this cottage house. We try to make it nice and comfortable and they had a very pleasant time. It’s absolutely fantastic, even if they both look very young, that they have been happily married for some decades. The house was left immaculate, they made our staff very happy at departure. We all hope they might be back one day. Communication was perfect. We couldn’t ask for more….

Cassie and her friends were the most wonderful! Lovely and polite. The house was left in order and house rules were respected. communication was great from the beginning. They also swam in the pool while experiencing the coldest April ever!!!! We sincerely hope to have them back at the house!

La maison a été laissée en parfait état, et enfin un plaisir pour la forme de respect et d'éducation pour les femmes de ménage !!!! Le petit chien était impeccable et élégant comme eux ! Le Chef, a fait un bon dîner et a fait le bonheur de la famille. Nous espérons pouvoir les accueillir à nouveau et les recommander à tous les hôtes.

It is terrible for us to know that Ben was so disappointed with his stay at Casa Vecchia di Nozzole and moreover that his son did not find the tub he expected. Unfortunately, there has been a mistake on our part on leaving an old picture of the bathroom with a tub when adding new pictures and taking out the old ones on the settings of the website. Although when Ben reserved, there was a second picture of the same bathroom (right next to the old one) without the bathtub. Furthermore, in the listing, on the bathrooms section, it is clearly specified that all bathrooms have showers, no tub. On the amenities section of the listing though there was a misinterpretation between the tub and the swimming pool, thanks to the website's assistance we clarified that. Thanks to Ben, we have actually removed the old picture so no misinterpretation will happen again in the future to new guests. When Ben made his reservation, he specified he had a special son and that his main motivation for renting Casa Vecchia di Nozzole was having the heated swimming pool which we especially left open for him and his family at no extra cost. The pool was meant to be closed before Ben's arrival. Ben's special need for his son was fulfilled and having a huge bathroom with great accessibility on the ground floor, and a special wheelchair to move on the rough in the garden, did not make arise any doubt on fulfilling his requests. As communication with Ben and his secretary before arrival had been rather intense, we wish he had been more clear and accurate on what his and his son's special needs were. His disappointment is understandable also about wi-fi speed since he had to work with it. We never have received a single complaint in many years, and more especially now that Wi-fi has been recently reinstalled and it is among the best implant and connection we can have. We must take into consideration that we are in the middle of the countryside and not in an active high-speed town. Speed may slow down at times especially if more people are connected, conferencing and streaming and downloading at the same time. Water pressure issue is a surprise, is it because of the dreadful weather with strong thunderstorms we have been experiencing for over a month? It is the first time this issue was reported. We will dig into it and make sure water pressure will be constant. Unfortunately there is to point out that during Ben's stay the heating was kept at very high temperatures the whole day (well above the average temperature of 20/21°) and keeping the windows closed all the time allowed the mold to emerge so the house will have to be repainted. We work really hard throughout the whole year for fulfilling our guests' expectations and even more. Hospitality, besides our main activity of the production of wine, is sacred. Usually, one star is given for dreadful experiences, Ben didn't show it during his stay and he's not telling us about the good points. We have always been gratified by all the great and satisfying comments on our services and on what we offer. But we are not infallible and Ben's criticism will help us to improve further in asking people who have disabilities to tell us exactly what their special needs are so that we can help them to make their stay the most pleasant one and not a bad experience.

This last family group was just fantastic. They came to celebrate big wedding anniversary at Casavecchia!! Wonderfull guests left the house immaculate!! Hopefully, they will be back! Thank you, John! From all of us and the Folonari Family

It was such a pleasure to see italian origin old friends from Canada to enjoy their stay and to appreciate and redescover their roots. Frank and his friends were wonderful guest, polite and friendly. Communication was great from the start even before their arrival. The house was left clean and rules were fully respected. We all sincerely hope to host them again soon.

What a great opportunity to celebrate a big birthday as the 50th in a wonderful environment! Tuscany is for sure one of the most romantic place . For Casa Vecchia this is the beginning of the touristic season. We couldn't be happier to have such nice guests. It takes a great effort to trying to make our houses nice, warm and welcoming. On a rainy day of June 6 "girls" from Texas arrived in Nozzole, 2 of them were lost in the middle of nowhere...thanks to technology they were found and rescued and their adventure began! After that many laughts and pleasant surprises, they descover Tuscany and love it! I hope as they promised they will be back. The made Casa Vecchia their Villa!!!
