I recently stayed at Princess Resorts with my family and had a very disappointing experience.
Before arrival, my daughter spent weeks trying to update my reservation from two guests to one. Expedia and the resort kept redirecting me to each other, and no one resolved it. As a result, I was overcharged for a two-person stay.
During the stay, housekeeping woke my family 2.5 hours before checkout by banging on the door and yelling, despite the “do not disturb” light being on. Service at the Jamaica Food Market was also unwelcoming—the hostess Sonya refused to let my daughter wait for my son in law and Grandsons to return from the restroom before directing us to our table and had a very uncomfortable attitude.
Amenities were limited. The water park closes at 5 PM, and the food truck was already closed and out of food by 4:30 PM after a long travel day. We were told the ice cream shop was 24 hours, but ice cream stops at midnight.
The game room has age restrictions (13+ and 18+), which excludes my 7 and 11 year old grandsons. Food at the sports bar was poor, and kids aren’t allowed after 8 PM. I had to babysit one night due to this just so my daughter and son in law could have a nice evening. I was looking forward to doing karaoke with them but someone had to watch the kids.
Drinks were watered down unless you had a specific wristband. The room also had a sewage smell from standing water in the shower.
Overall, not truly all-inclusive or family-friendly. I would not return.
