Wonderful house (and host) on quiet beach
House (Konchily-by-the-sea) is directly on the beach. It is part of 2 adjoining houses. The house is relatively new and built with very good materials and style. The host (Ria) is very friendly and made us very welcome. She lives with her family nearby and it was reassuring to know you could contact her. Before we came to Crete I had some questions and all questions were answered within hours - impressive! Back to the house. It is a large house with a open plan set up on 2 floors. Both bedrooms (1 on each floor) have a wonderful ocean view. The beach is in a quiet bay, narrow and mainly pebbles so I would advise some beach shoes. The sea coming right up to the house and the sunsets every evening were fantastic and as we ate at "home" many times we felt we had the best restaurant in Crete! The house is in Nopigea. There are 3 tavern's (OK but not great food but great views), 20 or so houses and at the other end of the beach a discreet camping place. Beyond this is a beautiful walk besides the coastal road. There is almost no traffic in the area so t feels very relaxed. Western Crete has everything. We were there in July so the beaches were busy (Elafonisi too busy) but Balos was wonderful, Samaria gorge (a whole day 16km hiking trip) and the wonderful Botanical gardens were 2 other must-dos. The house itself is well equipped and has almost everything. We would have loved a gas grill and we grill a lot on holiday and a dishwasher would have been a nice to have. However, these are small things compared to the overall experience we had. A wonderful location, host, area and holiday!

5-star stay! Unforgettable Experience!
Ria’s home right on the beach in Nopigia Kissamos is such a special, beautiful place. The house was spotless, well-appointed, and perfect for 2-4 adult travelers or a couple with children. The kitchen has everything you need and the covered deck that looks out over the water has plenty of space and lounge chairs for everyone. But what really made our trip wonderful was Ria herself. She met us when we drove up, late on a Saturday evening and was nearby whenever we needed suggestions on what to see or do. She could not have been kinder or more generous. This home is in a perfect location, centrally located, private and peaceful. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who is looking to spend some time in a lovely part of Crete. We stayed first week of April, we had beautiful weather all week and most everything had just opened for the season, it was a perfect time to visit. When we return to Crete we will stay with Ria again.

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser bezaubernden Immobilie war absolut traumhaft. Die atemberaubende Lage bot uns einen unglaublichen Blick auf das azurblaue Meer und die malerische Landschaft. Das Haus war liebevoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was wir für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigten. Besonders genossen haben wir die ruhige Atmosphäre, die es uns ermöglichte, uns vollständig zu erholen. Die Vermieterin (Ria) sorgte bereits bei der Ankunft mit eigenem Olivenöl, Honig, Ouzo, Wasser und Orangensaft für ein herzlichen Willkommen. Im Verlauf der Woche überraschte uns Ria mit einer Zwischenreinigung (mit frischen Handtüchern) , einer Schale mit eigenem Obst uns später ein leckeres Dessert- wie wundervoll. Da Ria gleich nebenan (hinter dem privaten Parkplatz) wohnt, war Sie für uns immer ansprechbar. Wir können diese Immobilie uneingeschränkt empfehlen und freuen uns schon darauf, bald wiederzukommen. Dieser Urlaub wird uns zweifellos noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben.

Wonderful Relaxing Stay
The property was exactly as described and on a beautiful almost private lovely sandy beach. Ria was a charming hostess and always available if we needed anything. It was lovely having shower gel and shampoo etc in the bathroom and the kitchen had everything we needed. Local Tavernas brilliant and easy to get into the buzz of Kissamos or other local beaches. We would love to come and stay again. Thank you also for the amazing olive oil and soap treats.

Relaxing and fun filled stay in Crete
Our host, Ria, is fabulous! She welcomed us warmly and our place was lovely. She takes extra care to make sure guests have what they need and she’s available for any questions. Her recommendations were spot on- we can’t wait to go back!

perfect place for a great holiday
We have been to Crete three times. This time we stayed at Ria's place which turned out to be the best place ever. The beach house has everything you need (two great, spacious and cozy bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers, kitchen, living room, 2 terraces). The beach in front of the house is perfect for a morning and evening swim with clear water and a shallow beginning (great for kids). The neighborhood is very quite. There are good restaurants nearby (5-10 min by car: Maracaibo, Gramboussa). Location could not have been better: You only drive 45min to the house from Chania airport. It is a 30min drive to Falassarna and to Balos, and a 1h drive to Elafonissi. And last but not least: Ria is a great host who welcomed us warmly and gave us many tipps!

A lovely quiet spot right on the beach. Just 10 footsteps and you are in the sea. Three tavernas just near by. Kissimos just a short drive away and lots of lovely walks through orange and Olive groves just on the other side of the super highway. Probably need a car to get about and get provisions. The house had everything you could possibly need. Ria was a great host and was easily available if needed.

Meer Nähe zum Strand gibt es nicht
Sehr ruhig gelegene Wohnung in einem Doppelhausarrangement. Der Strand bzw. das Meer befindet sich unmittelbar an der (höhergelegenen) Terrasse, über eine kleine Treppe ist dieser sofort zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, ansprechende Bäder mit sehr guten Duschen etc. Der Ort selber ist gediegen und ruhig, drei Tavernen in unmittelbarer Nähe sorgen für nachmittägliche/abendliche Abwechslung oder auch gutes Essen. Für Unternehmungen sollte man aber doch mobil sein (Mietauto o.ä.). Fazit: traumhafte Lage der Wohnung, sehr nette Vermieter, kleiner, fast einsamer Ort. Wer Ruhe und Entschleunigung sucht ohne auf Annehmlichkeiten verzichten zu wollen, findet hier genau das Richtige.

Maison de rêve vraiment les pieds dans l'eau avec les prestation d'un hôtel 4 étoiles ( ménage fait au milieu de notre séjour, plein de petits présents pour faciliter notre accueil ... ) . La réalité est encore beaucoup plus belle que sur les photos sans compter sur la gentillesse et la disponibilité de Ria toujours à notre écoute. A conseiller vivement, c'est le paradis

This is for sea lovers <3 <3 <3
Dieses wunderschöne Steinhaus hat uns schon beim Ansehen der Fotos begeistert. Die guten Bewertungen taten ihr übriges. Wir fanden alles so vor, wie wir es uns vorgestellt hatten. Das Haus steht direkt am Meer, ist aus massivem Stein gebaut und verfügt über zwei Terrassen. Je nach Jahreszeit und Temperatur findet man immer ein schattiges Plätzchen bei Hitze im Sommer oder ein sonniges früh am Morgen sogar noch im November. Die zum Meer ausgerichtete Terrasse verfügt über eine Holztreppe zum Strand und zur Stranddusche, ist hälftig überdacht und liebevoll dekoriert, wie alles auf diesem Anwesen. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich Küche (mit allem ausgestattet, was man zur Selbstversorgung benötigt), Wohnzimmer, das Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten und das Bad mit Toilette, Waschmaschine, Waschbecken und geräumiger Dusche. Eine Wendeltreppe führt nach oben auf die Galerie, mit großem Doppelbett und extra Dusche/WC. Zu erwähnen ist, dass der Schlafbereich offen ist, von hier aus kann man über ein Holzgeländer hinunter in die Küche und das Wohnzimmer schauen. Ein kleines Fenster garantiert Meerblick und - wenn es geöffnet ist - die schönste Geräuschkulisse der Welt, das Rauschen des Meeres. Stauraum ist in etlichen Schränken und Schubladen genügend vorhanden. Alles ist topp sauber, die Hygieneregeln werden hier konsequent umgesetzt. Das Haus schließt links direkt an ein weiteres, genau gleich (doch vom Schnitt spiegelverkehrt) eingerichtetes Ferienhaus an, rechts befindet sich - auch direkt anschließend - ein Haus, das privat bewohnt wird. Trotzdem sorgen dicke Wände und eine entsprechende Bepflanzung auf Terrassen und Garten für ein hohes Maß an Privatsphäre.

Relaxing stay in lovely villa
Ria is a lovely person, great host and communicator. The villa is beautiful and has everything you need. Amazing to just walk down steps and into the warm, blue sea. It is in a quiet hamlet with 3 tavernas and a bread van which comes every morning and sells delicious bread and pastries. Only drawback is that there is no shop so suggest getting provisions on way in especially if arriving on a Saturday. Everyone is very friendly and recommend the Porfina taverna. It was so nice to relax in comfort and sunshine, especially in 2020. Thanks Ria.

Wunderschönes Haus, traumhafte Lage
Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, sehr gepflegt und der Garten und die Terrasse sind mit Blumen stilvoll arrangiert. Das allerbeste ist die Lage des Hauses, direkt am Meer. Die Fotos im Internet sind genauso, wie wir es vorgefunden haben. Ria, die Vermieterin hat uns herzlich empfangen und uns mit selbstgemachtem Olivenöl und Raki verwöhnt, sie hatte sogar den Kühlschrank mit allem nötigen befüllt, dass fanden wir echt superlieb!!! Ganz toller Urlaub dort, jederzeit wieder!!!

Fantastic, fantastic , fantastic. We had a warm welcome from Ria who showed us her beautiful property on the beach. It was a home from home and we were showered with lovely luxury treats for our stay. The location is idyllic . We met some lovely new friends and have already booked a return visit.

Un bijou cretois
Nous avons passé un séjour idyllique à Kochily House. La maison est au bord de l'eau, la vue est époustouflante et nous gardons un souvenir émerveillé de nos dîners sur la terrasse face au coucher de soleil sur la baie. La maison est très agréable, le site est tranquille, aucune foule sur la plage, mais de bons restos a proximité, et la bonne surprise du boulanger ambulant tous les matins. L'acceuil de Ria est très chaleureux, elle nous a donné toutes les indications qu'il nous fallait pour le quotidien et pour organiser les nombreuses visites et excursions à faire sur l'ouest de la Crète. Nous n'avons qu'un seul regret: notre séjour à été trop court!

Wunderbarer Ort
Wir haben wunderschöne Tage in diesem Haus verbracht und jeden Moment genossen. Das Objekt entspricht genau den Fotos und hat unsere Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht sogar übertroffen. Die Vermieterin Ria war eine wunderbare Gastgeberin und hat uns mit Olivenöl, Raki, Honig und selbstgebackenem Kuchen verwöhnt. Vielen Dank!

Amazing!
This home was more exquisite than the photos show. We loved every moment! The only draw back was we had to leave! The owners are amazing, kind and gracious! It is in a quiet a peaceful area with easy access to other towns and villages. There is an abundance of activities to do and places to explore. This home on the sea is by far a place to come back again and again. I will most definitely come back!

Wunderbares Traumhaus
wir, vier Erwachsene, waren eine Woche in dieser tollen Wohnung, wirklich direkt am Meer. Es ist alles so, wie auf den Bilder dargestellt. Die Wohnung ist mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet und die Vermieterin Ria ist sehr freundlich und super hilfsbereit. Morgens fährt der überaus freundliche Bäcker mit seinem Lieferwagen vor. Das Brot ist sehr lecker und meistens noch ofenwarm. Ein Mietwagen ist ratsam. Wir können diese Wohnung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

A Villa with a View
This was our third visit to this beautiful villa on the beach, which we found had lost none of it's charm. To be honest we found it very hard to leave the terrace and go anywhere else as you can sit and look out all day and evening. Situated in a charming village with 3 tavernas within walking distance and a small shop as well as the local baker delivering door to door every morning. Our hosts Ria and Eftixis are charming and around the corner to offer any advice on trips as well as arranging the rental cars to be picked up at the airport. The house is cleaned during your stay so remain as clean as the day you arrive. We love this place so much we are returning next year.
