Skønt lille sted med god udsigt
Skønt lille familiedrevet sted. Virkelig flot udsigt, god pool, og ordentlige værelser i simpel stil. Lokalområdet er stille, men der er både restauranter og barer at finde inden for gåafstand

Pleasantly surprised by this property as the photos don’t do it full justice. Great views, good amenities on site, whilst there are plenty of tavernas to go at and access to mini supermarkets - all within walking distance. Peter and his mum oversee the place on a day to day basis and are on hand if needed. Special mention goes to their cleaner who appears to be a real grafter! Would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

The location was very nice. 20 min to the beach, where you can have lunch and to places that serve dinner in the immediate vicinity. Well equipped and furnished studios. What I couldn’t stand is communications: way to laid back. Taxi hotel organised didn’t pick us up; on return to airport taxi was 25min late, we nearly missed our flight. They simply didn’t care (“not our fault, we don’t own taxi company”). Owner was super nice but not at all helpful with hints and tips of ways to get around - no bus schedule, in fact didn’t recommend bus, which was totally reliable. More interested in pushing us to his brothers jewellery store. I am coming back next year to kefalonia but won’t be returning to this place.

Only suggestion we would make is that the property has a washing machine for their guests. It would make life a lot easier in this regard. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Gardis, the location was great and we would recommend them to any travellers to Kefalonia.

Perfect for relaxing holiday
Arrived 29th june for 2 weeks have a lovely stay at garbis villas cant fault the place lovely views of lourdas beach from pool area take your pick for sunbeds when you decide to have pool days great places to eat and drink within walking distance hired a car for part of 1st week but happy to just relax at garbis/beach for 2nd I guarantee you cant be disappointed if you choose this for a base for your holiday thankyou irene and Peter for your hospitality

Hotel zadbany zarówno w środku jak i na zewnątrz. Cicha klimatyzacja. Basen czysty z wystarczającą ilością leżaków. Pokoje sprzątane codziennie. Bardzo miła obsługa i właściciele. Wspaniałe widoki na morze oraz góry, cicha okolica. Bardzo dobra lokalizacja jako miejsce wypadowe. W sąsiedztwie 3 minimarkety z przystępnymi cenami, piekarnia oraz super pyszna restauracja suvlaki. Goście to głównie Anglicy.

Great studio apartment.
The owners are so friendly and they make sure you have the best experience possible. Clean rooms and pool and delicious breakfast. Two thumbs up. 👍

Not close to beach few busses
The property is fine but located at 1.5 km from the beach on a steep hill. Owners were no help with bus schedules station location very grumpy and Euro oriented. There is a car rental near by but you need an international drivers licence a US or Canadian simple DL won’t work. So think of my nightmare having to go pushing up a suitcase on a hill the equivalent of a 15 storey building. The owner had a car and did not offer to take me there it’s literally 5 minutes by car. Now taxi: the trip to Argostoli 12 km or so is 25 euro. The bus ticket for the same 2 euro. You see? Food on the beach is terrible in some places. Some are good but to find the good ones I had to spend some 40 Euro in the local mini market and get the information from a sudden friendlier Greek. Last: the bus driver once answered my Q in English and 10 minutes later when I asked if I could take the bus in the same place the day after to go to Skala refused to answer in En and just said smthg in Greek obviously annoyed. lol be prepared! But on a positive note Kefalonia is amazing.

Garbis Villas is in a wonderful spot - with a wonderful welcome. It is peaceful, with good amount of shade if needed for those not accustomed to the copious amounts of sunshine! It was such a joy to find a place where we could instantly relax.

Beautiful location with amazing sea views. Accommodation was spotless and was cleaned daily. Pool was lovely in a nice setting which meant you didn’t always have to take the short 5 min drive to the beach for a swim. The property is family owned and managed by Irene who lives in one of the apartments. Irene was there when we arrived, showed us round the appartment and told us all about what was available to us in Lourdas. Such a lovely lady. We were invited to her home on our last day where she served us coffee and home made cake. So welcoming, would recommend this property to anyone

Complex has lovely views over ocean. Our garden-view 1 bed apartment had partial sea views as well from the outdoor seating area at the front of the property. This is shared with adjoining apartment therefore not much privacy but was OK by us. Close to nice taverna's and mini markets. An issue with the plumbing was quickly rectified same day.

Very comfortable Villa
We stayed at Garbis Villa for two weeks. We had the best holiday! It was situated on a hill with fantastic sea and mountain view and we felt it was very special. The rooms and toiletts were cleaned every day, and it was well equipted. We had prebooked a car hire for a week first, but the nearest beach was 2.2km away each way on foot on steep hilly roads, so we rented another car after four days of arrival from a local rent-a-car shop before the pre-booked one arrived as the prebooked one could not have been forwarded. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Beautiful villa with a fantastic setting
Garbis villas are beautiful. The have a fantastic setting in Lourdas, with a view of the mountains and sea. The pool is very clean and plenty of sun loungers. There are several villas that share the pool but it never felt crowded at all. There are one and two bedroom villas. Please note that all the one bed villas are on the ground floor, so do not have views. Only the 2 bed villas are on the first floor with sea views. The one bed villas have a very small kitchenette - so if you are planning on cooking, you will need to book the bigger villas. The bathroom was very small, but clean. The one bed villas have a sofa bed in the kitchen area, which wasn't ideal, especially with the sound of the fridge. If you have any children, I would suggest booking the bigger villa. There are plenty of lovely tavernas, which are walking distance, along with a couple of supermarkets and a car hire places. The beach is a long walk down the hill (about 15/20 mins walk down and at least 45 mins walk back, which is very difficult in the height of summer!). A taxi costs about €8, although I understand there is a bus, which I never saw. It is well placed to explore the island and less touristy than Skala or Lassi. You will need a car. Irene, who runs the place is lovely, and she invited us to her place for a drink and offered cakes. She is based on site, and is there to help whenever you need anything. Overall we had a lovely experience and would not hesitate in recommending the villas.

Excellent value for money. Beautiful location!
Tranquil and beautifully set accommodation perfect for some R&R. Clean rooms and adequate pool size. Sufficient cooking facilities but on a small scale. Stunning scenery from all but one rooms (they over look the mountains and sea). Helpful owner and maid. Local area, within walking distance, has lots of tavernas / bars / super markets / cash points. Beaches are a short drive away and of an enough variety to base yourself exclusively in this area for 3-4 days without needing to see anywhere else. Car, as always, recommended for the Greek islands.

Spotless apartment with fabulous views and pool.
Very hospitable host, comfortable apartments cleaned regularly with fresh towels and bedding every other day. Lovely setting only 30 minutes from the airport with a lovely pool overlooking the sea. Lourdas beach is just 5 minutes away by car and has numerous tavernas overlooking the beach. Apartment is within a few minutes walk of supermarkets and excellent tavernas and bars yet is tucked away down a quiet lane. Family friendly accommodation and area with lots of other beaches up and down the island. Recommend car hire for some or all of your stay to explore the island but also as the area is hilly. Would also recommend visiting Myrtos beach and Assos as well as exploring Argostoli where you can also see the Loggerhead Turtles. A boat trip to Ithaca makes a lovely day out.

Lovely apartments in a beautiful setting.
Lovely clean apartments with all the modern conveniences provided that you need on holiday including pool towels. Beautifully maintained gardens and a great pool that was cleaned every morning. Would recommend a car to get around the island, at least for a few days.

Chilled Out Vacation
Was in total need of a relaxing holiday, first visit to Kefalonia and a great base. I would say transport is needed unless you want to stay put, we had a quad for the duration. The island is beautiful and the apartment was a welcoming retreat for relaxing and peace and tranquility, wonderful maid Alex and host Irene make you feel so welcome. Definitely be returning.

Good poolside.
Lovely place.. owner lives on site so is handy if you need anything. Nice pool with good quality furniture around it. I recommend transport of some kind as the location is mountain side and I would have felt trapped without being able to move freely.

Had a fabulous stay at Garbis Villas, the 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and the view from the large balcony fantastic. Cleanliness was good, maid visited daily. The owner Irene was friendly and helpful.

Lovely views of the sea
Pleasant room but a little dated. Nice and clean with everything you need. Could do with a new fridge. A long walk uphill back from the beach, too far for most but we had a car. Good pool area just needs tidying up. Nice quiet location yet still close to a few good restaurants and shop. Owner welcoming and pleasant but leaves you to it.
