The location was great for the lake access, fishing, and relaxing in the backyard. The house had a nice set up and the communication with the host was terrific. Would stay again.

Overall, my husband and I had an enjoyable stay! We loved watching all of the wildlife on the lake and it was a very peaceful and quiet area.

Amazing and peaceful cabin! We needed a little time to unwind and this cabin was everything we hoped for! It is peaceful and so well appointed! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and more! The layout was amazing for our family of 6! The fishing from the dock was wonderful. We would have easily had a meal or two if we were keeping them! The kids loved all the yard games and kayaks! We grabbed pizzas from the local dairy farm store and they were excellent! Cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful cabin! Our family cannot wait to return in the future! Thank you for sharing this special place with others!

Wonderful family vacation

Quite possibly the best vaction spot in Northern Wisconsin if you're looking for a nice outdoor escape with easy lake access.

The place is absolutely charming. Property owners facilitated a boat rental which was fantastic. We had a fabulous time playing in the lake, fishing and star gazing.

Great week!

A weeklong stay with family at an excellent location. The cabin was clean an comfortable. From laketime to washing dishes it was a memorable family affair. Dont forget to spend a day visiting Grantsburg and the Dairy.

Little Resort

Home was very clean and organized and sits on a beautiful spot on Big Trade Lake. The host provided all the details we needed for our stay. The check in and check out information was very clear. Great spot for a family getaway!

Amazing stay! Peaceful and quiet

Plenty to do around Grantsburg, Webster and Siren which are all small towns. Fireplace with cut wood just outside the door, board games, and plenty of rooms if you are bringing the whole family. There is a great grill and bar called Route 35 in Webster and if you are a hunter there is public land nearby and gun ranges. We had a great time!

Nice extended weekend for family

We enjoyed our long weekend at the cabin. Used the paddleboat, canoe as well as the fire pit. It was very easy to communicate with our host (John) and he always responded very quickly. Enjoyed two beautiful sunsets.

Family vacation/getaway

The cabin was very nice, quiet and well equipped. We were very comfortable and pleased with the host and the ease of everything. The tap water had a bit of an odor, so we brought bottled water to drink. Otherwise we were very happy.

Beautiful cabin

This is a beautiful cabin on a very nice lake. It was extremely clean and very well equipped. Lots to do indoors & out. We had a major problem, but John was very apologetic & fixed it to our satisfaction. Highly recommended.

Best Cabin

We were very impressed with this very clean cabin. It's a great layout over looking the lake, with plenty of room to sit around the fireplace, watch TV and dine. Kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. Sleeping quarters worked out great for us. The host was great to work with, very responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this cabin and plan on staying there next year.

Perfect Cabin

We had a great time here for a three day weekend. We rented the pontoon that the owner referred us too. That worked out great. Great fishing from the dock as the kids caught over 100 Crappies over the weekend. Great lake to boat on as well. The cabin was clean we were very happy with our stay. Plenty of stocked wood for fires and the charcoal grill was clean and ready to go. Overall a great experience for our family. Groceries and bait only about 10 minutes away, so it was nice to be able to grab things we wanted if needed.

Lake House 🏡

Beautiful place to stay, accommodation were amazing. Everything we needed to cook and keep everything cold including worms to fish with. 😉 sunsets were stunning. Very spacious, lots of games for the adults and kids and many entertaining toys to play with outside. All provided. So nice! We loved it. Highly recommended! Family of 7 adults 3 children.

family of 5 adults had a wonderful time at John's property!! This Lake is a perfect spot for those that like to swim and those that like to fish. We rented the Pontoon from the guy John recommended and took it out daily to swim in the deep water and fish. What we also enjoyed about the Lake is that it is pretty deep about 15 yards from the shore where you will feel NO weeds so swimming close to the cabin was fun too!John provided 3 kayaks, 1 canoe , paddle boat and floaties for all to use, which we did. He also provided a few yard games which we enjoyed. We enjoyed grilling on the charcoal grill and had a few evening fires by the firepit.The fisherman in our group easily caught over 100 good sized fish during our stay.Great Lake for fishing!!The Lake house was very comfortable and super clean. During our stay the temperature was in the 90s and humid so the air conditioning in the unit was so appreciated!! John provided all the towels and linen but I would recommend bringing more towels since there is no laundry use and the towels got a little rank after constant wetness and humidity.There also is no dishwasher so for the larger groups, I would recommend bringing paper plates to help with the after meal clean up.Another thing that was mentioned in another review that we realized the first time we walked up the interior stairs is, the stairs are creaky. It worked out for us because the early risers in the group slept downstairs and the late sleepers slept upstairs, so

Great getaway cabin in the woods

The host, John, is very helpful and detailed, and his cabin is clean and comfortable. The cabin is even more spacious than I thought it would be from the listing, and I was pleasantly surprised at all the extras provided (eg kayaks, a canoe, a paddle boat, games, lawn chairs, coffee, high-speed internet, etc). The beds are comfortable, and we got excellent sleep in this quiet, rural lake setting. The dedicated dock just 25 yards from the front porch was perfect for fishing, and we caught bluegills by the dozen. The shaded country road where this cabin is located made for a pleasant walk every morning, and we saw a lot of wildlife. There are several small towns just a short drive away with good places to eat. We had a wonderful five days here, and I highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a quiet getaway in the country.

Much needed get away

The Little Resort on Big Lake is exactly like the pictures show. Well maintained, clean and fully stocked. I reunited with family members and this was the perfect place to do so. Total peace and quiet. The only downside was the septic system. Signs up in bathrooms and kitchen about conserving water so the septic system doesn't fill up. I agree with conserving water, but it felt a bit overboard. Unfortunately, the septic alarm did go off on our 3rd or 4th day there, even though we were very conservative with our water usage and toilet flushing. I followed the instructions on what to do if that happens and John(the owner) promptly answered my phone call reassuring me that it happens. It didn't hinder our stay at all. If If you are looking for a beautiful place to unplug and relax, this is the place to do just that!

Family gathering

The property was as advertised. The kitchen was well equipped, and the house was roomy. We enjoyed exploring the lake in the canoe and kayaks, and the little kids loved playing at the water's edge.

Much needed time off!

My family and I enjoyed our time at this property. We were able to relax and enjoy some much needed time away from the city. We enjoyed the lake, kayaking, playing games, and going on walks. The host was amazing! He was super responsive if anything came up. The caving is fully equipped with everything you’ll need. I will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful, quiet property.

This is a beautiful cabin on a very quiet lake. The property looks exactly as advertised in the pictures. The owner is very communicative and responsive to any concerns.
