Set in the wonderful surroundings of the south coast of Cumbria in the idyllic village of Flookburgh, this annexe of the owner’s home is the ideal place for a couples’ retreat. On your doorstep, in Flookburgh, is a chemist, convenience store, two pubs and a bakery. Even more is to be discovered in nearby Cartmel (2 miles from the cottage). Here is a delightful village which boasts quaint cobbled streets, streamside strolls and a variety of pubs and restaurants as well as specialist shops. A day at the races can be enjoyed at Cartmel Racecourse, which is only 2 miles away. The seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands is 3.5 miles away and is a lovely place to spend the day exploring the attractions on the town’s promenade. Other great places to visit are Windermere, Hawkshead, Coniston, or Ulverston. This is a perfect base to explore some of the hidden treasures of the Lake District.

Walking into the living area via the bi-fold doors, you will instantly feel comfortable. The lounge offers a perfect spot to chill and relax after a day out with the two-seater sofa ideally positioned for you to settle down after a day of exploring. The kitchen/diner has all you need to rustle up a romantic meal for two with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer along with an oak dining table and chairs. Head on up to the first floor and you are in the spacious master bedroom with high vaulted ceilings and skylights. There is a super-king-size bed, which can be made into a twin on request, along with another sofa and armchair with lovely views towards the sea, and another TV ideal for a bedtime movie. The shower room with WC is just off the bedroom.

Outside you will find a private patio area with seating. Guests can also make use of the shared area of garden offering many spots to sit and relax in seating areas dotted throughout the garden. There is ample on-site parking.
