"Our room was extremely clean! Loved that! Staff was very friendly!! Breakfast was very good and varied daily. The one issue was the mattress! When we got into bed it was like falling into a hole! Couldn’t roll over and REALLY hard to get out of bed! After 3 nights of that I was glad we were not staying longer. If we need to stay in the area again I would choose this hotel again but instead of a king bed maybe a room with 2 double beds would be better."

"I would have given at least a good rating were it not for the fact that our room was on a floor that was being renovated. The hallway was a complete mess and the smell of plaster was rather unpleasant. The room itself was fine but the hotel should have closed that floor for use while the renovation was being done."

"We booked two nights here. I understand it's a history property, but it's one of the smallest rooms I've ever been in. The wall paper was peeling in the bathroom, and there was a stain in the ceiling tiles, which looked like office tiles. There was no mini fridge which seems like it ought to be standard. Worst though was we had no hot water. When we called the desk at 10pm, the girl at the desk said she would have to reset the water heater and it could take a half hour or longer. We canceled...

"You could tell the room hadn’t properly been clean. There was toothpaste all over the sink stuff all over the walls. The covers had cigarette burns and the whole place just smell like cigarettes even though I got a non-smoking room I booked a room with a single king bed and they changed it to a room with two full beds instead"

"Room was clean. Lobby and check in was locked down and behind glass. Outside doors were unlocked and did not require a key the 3 times we used them. Our door had a deadbolt but chain lock was missing. Did not feel safe."

"Roxanne the manager on duty was great! She was very attentive and kind and funny with jokes. She was smiling from the time we checked in until the day we checked out and always asked if everything was going well and if I needed anything any time she saw me in the lobby etc. Rest of the staff was friendly and kind as well and met all our needs while we stayed. We typically don’t ask for much :). Would def stay again!"

"If you have a service animal they don’t understand that service animals cannot be charged a “pet fee” via the Americans with Disabilities Act It listed there was a pool and showed up to the pool being down. In my room there was no remote control for the TV. I left and came back to fire trucks out front because the alarm system kept getting tripped. Stains on the carpet"

"Overall, I would give this hotel a very good rating. The room was very clean, as was the property. One of the things I would rate much higher than most was the included breakfast. Usually, a breakfast that is included would be the often referred to ,"continental breakfast.' Normally that means the basics like cereals, hot beverage, fruit, yogurt, toast, muffin or donuts. Nothing elaborate, but enough to fill you up & a room rate that's fairly decent. But this was much better than a light morning...

"The Riley Room was beautiful with a super comfortable bed. Since there is no front desk, you check in at the Galley Restaurant/Bar and the staff checking us in was wonderful. This was our first visit to Marietta and to the Hackett Hotel and we will be back."
