The owner checked us in and was very helpful in showing us our apartment, helping us carry luggage and the extras of having printed information for nearby villages, etc. The property was so relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. If I return to Ireland, this will absolutely be on my list of stops!!"

"Hotellet er centralt beliggende i Kilkenny. God restaurant (aftensmad) og hyggelig bar med live musik. Parkering i parkeringshus 50 m fra hotellet. Værelserne er fint store. Ældre stil, men gennemført. Morgenmaden var OK. Ikke særligt stort udvalg, men mulighed for at vælge forskellige morgenmadsretter."

When this is combined with the love for nature that the host Mary shares with you and staying in one of the shepherds huts all conditions for a perfect stay are there. Guidance to nice walks and places to see are part of the warm welcoming to Blackstairs Shepherds Hut. We enjoyed the quietness, a walk along the river Barrow and having dinner in the nearby town Borris."

"We had an excellent room. The bespart was the super comfy beds, clean and fresh bedding, and newly renovated rooms. Absolutely wonderful stay. The restaurant and pub were excellent as well. The staff - Nella, Chloe and Michael were awesome & went well and above the ordinary to make us feel at home. Thanks everyone!"
