Step into East Texas history. The Anna Bell Suite is a 2-bedroom, 1-bath retreat inside the Jeter Farmhouse —one of 2 separate units available- built in 1903 . Private parking out front for guests. Walk 3 steps to access front door. Fully modern comforts: updated bath, luxury cotton sheets, coffee bar, Roku TV, and individual climate control, fast wifi, 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 bathroom with updated amenities. Full kitchen with fully stocked coffee bar. Historic charm. Modern comfort. Anna Bell's suite is soft, elegant, and inviting, creating an atmosphere that feels instantly like home. The decor is gentle and warm, wrapping you in a sense of comfort the moment you walk through the door. Original hardwood floors flow throughout every room, and in several spaces the original wood-paneled walls remain intact, wrapping you in the quiet character that only a century of history can provide. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, small sitting area, armoire for clothing storage and bathroom is attached. Bedroom 2 is accessible through a connecting door from bedroom 1 and has a king bed as well as sitting area. The full kitchen includes large refrigerator, microwave, toaster, luxury gas stove, and all amenities. The upper kitchen cabinets are original to the home, a small but meaningful detail that connects every meal prepared here to the generations before you. At the same time, every modern comfort has been thoughtfully woven in. The bathroom has been fully updated with contemporary finishes. A separate family room gives guests room to spread out and unwind, while a dedicated dining area makes shared meals feel special. When it's time to relax, settle into the family room where a Roku TV is ready for all your favorite streaming, alongside a curated selection of games and books for those who prefer to unplug. The suite is stocked with the details that make the difference. Sink into 100% luxury cotton sheets at the end of the day, and start your morning at the fully equipped coffee bar — stocked with both drip and pod options, plus coffee, creamer, and sugar, ready and waiting. The bathroom features upscale shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, because a historic stay shouldn't mean roughing it. Blackout shades in every room ensure a restful night regardless of the hour. Each room is equipped with its own mini split AC and heat unit, so your comfort is always in your hands. End your evenings the right way — rocking on the grand front porch, watching the quiet rhythm of downtown Gladewater roll by from atop the original red brick streets that have lined this neighborhood for over a century. One more piece of living history — the train has rumbled through downtown Gladewater daily for over 150 years, running on no set schedule, just as it always has. It's a beloved reminder of the town's roots, though light sleepers should be aware. We've provided noise-canceling sound machines in each bedroom for a restful night's sleep. This is historic charm without the sacrifice. This listing is for the Anna Bell Suite only, a 2/1 unit. The Leonidas Suite, a 1/1 as well as the whole house option are available with separate listings. As is The Carriage House, our 1/1 upper unit. The Anna Bell Suite is your own private retreat within the historic Jeter Farmhouse, marked by a welcoming "A" sign — second door on the left from the entry hall. The suite is separated from the Leonidas Suite by locking French doors in the living/dining room, with double blackout curtains and locks on each side, ensuring complete privacy. When renting the whole home, these doors can be opened to connect both suites seamlessly. A shared laundry room is available for guests, door located at the back of the entry hall. Free street parking is available directly in front of the home, and guests are welcome to enjoy the sweeping front porch — the perfect spot to slow down and soak in the charm of downtown Gladewater. The home sits on Gladewater's original red brick streets, a fitting welcome to one of East Texas' most beautifully preserved historic downtowns. There are some areas marked unavailable to guests, please respect this as some of these areas may still be under construction or not a guest access space. We like to offer our guests privacy during their stay but we are happy to message if you have any questions. Guests are supplied a code for entry 24 hours prior to check in.
