Escape to the hills above Lake Maggiore in this contemporary duplex apartment set in large gardens, with a shared swimming pool. The first-floor apartment sleeps up to 5 people and makes an ideal base for friends or family who want to relax in tranquil surroundings, explore Lake Maggiore and hike in the beautiful hills.

The front door is accessed via and outdoor staircase and opens into an open-plan living room with a sofa, armchair and fireplace. There is a dining table for 5 people and French windows open onto a private balcony. Here, guests can relax at a café-style table and chairs enjoying the view over the gardens. Back inside, the kitchen adjoins the dining area. It is well-equipped with an induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and Nespresso coffee machine.

The extensive shared gardens include a well-kept lawn that leads down to the shared swimming pool. Here guests can relax on the sun loungers after a refreshing dip.

Bedroom 1: The airy master bedroom is furnished with a king-size double bed and a wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: The bedroom has a single bed and shelves.
Bedroom 3: On the mezzanine level, with a gallery opening onto the living space, this bedroom includes 2 single beds and a laptop-friendly worktable.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable single bed.

Location
In beautiful, verdant landscape, on the edge of Vezzo, the house’s location combines stunning hillside walks with the convenience of the town’s amenities.

Stresa (10 minutes) is a charming town right on the lake. It is known for its villas and palazzi. Spend the day exploring the Borromean Islands with a hop-on-hop-off boat trip or visit the Friday morning market for the best local ingredients to cook at home.

If you want to get into the water, there are several beaches and lidos nearby. A walk north from Stresa, along the scenic Lungolago promenade (or a 17-minute drive from the residence) will take you to the lido at Carciano (fee charged) that has sunbeds and a sandy beach.

Away from the lake, there are some spectacular hiking routes around the valley and forest near the house. For golf enthusiasts, the Golf Des Iles Borromées club is just a 7-minute drive. Or the Mottarone adventure park (14 minutes) makes a great day out for all ages.

Milan’s international Malpensa airport is a 45-minute drive.
